Texting while driving...illegal as of tomorrow in the CO.

Already the case here in NYC, and I still do it no matter what. It's an iPhone, I could be texting or changing the song. Fuck them, they don't know.
 
It's illegal in Utah as of a while ago, and I don't know one person who actually quit texting and driving cause of the law. I also don't know one person who has been fined for it. Pretty worthless law.
 
Good, it should be illegal in every state. Some dick almost hit me while texting when I was on my motorcycle. Pull over or wait until you get where you're going.
 
Fuck the laws against talking on your cellphone, its a 130 dollar fine in New Jersey, fuck that shit, it was a 20 second phone call to tell the kid "no I don't have his number, try this kid. bye.", get pulled over, and the dick gives me a fucking ticket. /endrant

On this note, good. That shit should be illegal, I know for a fact that I am a shitty driver when I text.

50$ seriously? thats weak. you can get something like a $150 ticket here for not wearing your seatbelt in MN, not to mention they can pull you over just for their thinking you didnt have a seatbelt on.

just have the cops carry a hatchet, and some duct tape. along with a cutting board ofcourse.

it would also provide a nice stream of patents to all ER's in high txting area's......
 
good I'm glad. people who text and drive are fucking morons. so easy to die that way. In maine I think they just made it so if you seem distracted at all (i.e. looking down at your ipod or phone or gps or whatever the fuck electronic device) then the cops can pull you over and give you shit. I think it's a good idea.
 
do you still pay attention to to the teacher while you text? they arnt making it illegal just so they can catch you doing it. its illegal because you arnt paying any attention to the road which not only endangers you but everyone else on the road with you. does anyone think about the repercussions of their actions anymore or has the world finally gone stupid dumb with the FAB?

they definitely need to up the fine if anyone is going to take it seriously.illegal in utah, but people still do it obvi. I am down with it being illegal though, its as bad as drunk driving.
