The military is gearing up for a pretty legit training exercise called Jade Helm 15, and Texans are legitimately scared that the whole thing is a ruse for Obama to go into Texas with the military, and go all Red Dawn - taking away peoples guns, bibles, and Ford F150's and establishing martial law...

The exercise will not take place on anyone's land, other than those who have given the military consent to perform tasks upon, and is, for all intensive purposes, to train the military for helping resistance fighters restore democracy within an imaginary country (IE: prepare the military for when ISIS takes over Iraq and the USA needs to go back accomplishing that mission that was hilariously and quite prematurely said to be "accomplished".)

For all intensive purposes, the whole thing boils down to idiots thinking Obama is a terrorist, kenyan muslim nazi communist socialist satanist 666 anti-christ, and that the military designated red states like Texas and Utah as 'hostile areas' for the exercise. The whole conspiracy theory behind it is fucking hilarious.

Damn why is Frenchy banned, his idiotic "opinions" would of made this thread hilarious.

Here's the idea for the exercise and the breakdown of regions...

Sorry, Texas... you're just.. kinda... where Iran would be.

Lolol. Derp. "intents & purposes"... I need to not get high and write threads where I fart all over the english language.

Still, it's pretty hilarious. Texans are even freaking out that a string of Walmarts closing down all across america is somehow related to this jade helm = martial law thing.

get it right you fuckin' drug smokin' hippie!

but yeah, wow. holy tin foil hat!!

The conspiracy theorist are all bunch of fuckin' whacks. However, the whole Jade Helm thing is pretty interesting. Definitely seen an increase in military air traffic here in Salt Lake the past couple months. I've seen lots of Chinooks and a couple v-22 Ospreys, as well as some other various jets and helis that I wasn't able to identify.

"remind yourselves... what would rick perry do?"

its really funny that our democratic (and black) president makes texans uneasy with military exercises when george bush conducted them on a record scale just 10 years ago.

I'm pretty sure this happened in 2004 too... conspiracy theorist always exist and will continue to exist.

Kinda ridiculous that most people on this site seem to be thinking that the people this time are automatically every single republican in Texas because it's common knowledge that they're all racists and hate President Obama

I had a low flying U2 Dragonlady come over the other day.. which seems like an oxymoron, but i'm pretty sure it was just gliding practice.

...but yeah, Travis AFB has been doing constant air runs the last few months. planes are always flying overhead here.

Of course there are cool people in TX... it's a huge state...

It's just for all the cool people in texas, there are also plenty of jackasses that screw up everything. The only parts of the state where there are liberal bastions of rationality and progressive growth, are politically screwed over so hard by either gerrymandering or political posturing that shit just keeps going down the tubes..

Anyway. i'm just glad I don't have to live there...
