Ok so here is the deal i was born with one of my spinal cords tethered to my back. I had surgey on it when i was only a month old, and the doctor told my parents I will be normal and good to go for the rest of life. I am now 16 and I have like a big scare and all and just recently i have had alot of pain around that area. All the pain started to come During this years wrestling season so i went and saw a specialest and basically he said there is no way of telling that it reteathered without surgey, so i have no idea what it is. He told me i can never wrestling again, because of fear of loosing feeling in my legs. I am trying to see if anyone else out there has the same thing or any info. I hope I am not the only one and would like some questions answered. Thank You

oh man thats terrable news. be positive. theres so much technology that they can usually figure these things out.

i dont think newschoolers is the place to come ask for serious medical help. get opinions from multiple doctors

i have really bad scoliosis (sp), your backs really sensetive. unless you had an epic blow to it, im pretty sure nothing shifted or anything from the surgery since you were little. it just always hurts after a long period of exercise, and also cause you're probably growing at a really fast rate. werd

true that cause i had such bad pain after my last match that i couldnt walk, so i guess i will have to deal with it forever huh

Dude, that really sucks. Vibes +++.
I don't really know what it is... but just keep in mind, even though this doesn't have to do with wrestling... if worst came to worst you can still always ski - even if it's adaptive skiing.
Like someone said - I'm sure with the technology today everything will be ok.
Peace.
