Terje Haakonsen drops snowboarding to ski this entire Winter

Of course they're poking fun and Terje has publicly mocked skiing in the past, but I spent a Christmas Day skiing with Terje and a snowboard filmmaker at Squaw 18 years ago and he had a blast. He came from a skiing background and hadn't done it in years but he was ripping. He'd just trail me all over through these lines, and I'd do a mini backflip off an air and he'd do the same. The highlight of the day was when he hit a popular double stager on a 30' cliff and double ejected on the first tier, splatting on his face. He clicked back in, dropped the bottom air and double ejected again. Maybe he claims he doesn't like skiing because bindings release. Regardless, he ended that day by genuinely saying he had the best time he'd had in a long time.

i appreciate the shoutout, but i'm a dinosaur! unfortunately, i haven't been a ski industry professional for 14 years! maybe that will change some day - you never know.

by the way, do we know each other?

naw, if we've met it was just in passing, years ago. but i was around for you as the Freeskier photo editor (or something like that) and Sublux and stuff
