tmk is the man he will be looked at in a few hundred years as a guy way ahead of his time.

 
I've spent countless hours on youtube listening to Mckenna talk about his experiences and theories on life. Dude knows whats up, too bad he died.
 
You should read DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Dr. Rick Strassman.

He was the first person lucky enough to get to study psychedelics in a research setting since 71 or so, you can read the abstract for his paper here:

He's also done a ketamine study:

Although the purpose was to study physical effects of DMT, he collected trip reports from many of the volunteers and discovered a lot of strange, frightening, and interesting stuff. Basically all the really important data that could never stand up in a scientific study made it into the book. Its an awesome book, and will completely change your thoughts on drugs and their use throughout history. The really cool thing is how meticulously the studies were done, no grabbing a pinch of deemsters, sprinkling it on a bowl and hitting it without having any idea of the purity or amount. Intravenous injections, 3 different trials at different amounts per body weight unit... Everything about it is so great. If you have any kind of academic interest in psychedelia check it out, it quantifies something that is so arbitrary.
 
i have done DMT once (made it myself).... will never do it again. the human mind is not made to process that volume of information. by far the most profound experience in my life.
 
I'm glad you posted this! I think Terence McKenna is one of the smartest men to step foot on this earth. His words speak so much truth about everything! Listen to this man. Western Society has tried to define, label and categorize everything. What TM thought was important was to be a doubter and a pessimist. Don't try to fit into categories, listen to your own intuition because that is all you got at the end of the day!

Have you listened to his speech about the world and its double?

In this speech he talks about how in the past, a force in the galaxy caused two copies of the earth to form. This occured right after the death of Jesus. In one world, Jesus was resurected and in another world Jesus never came back. Both copies exist at this moment in time.

One copy of the earth has let western ideas poison the mind and the earth. That is what we are part of, whereas the other copy of earth has figured out how to live in balance with the earth. I really can't do this idea justice so I'll just post the original video. Get really high and listen to this video. It sounds like a crazy idea but he does a great job getting through all of it.
