Newschoolers has teamed up with Transworld Snowboarding and Snow Park Technologies to rank and catalog the best terrain parks across North America. By filling out this short survey you can make sure your voice is heard and that your favorite terrain parks across the continent get the recognition they deserve. In order to show our appreciation for your participation we will be randomly selecting one winner to receive a full Virtika Signature outerwear kit from www.virtika.com!

Follow the link to fill in the survey, point your mountain in the right direction and have a shot at winning some gear:

So I filled out the one on Transworld Snowboarding's website a while ago when it first came out. Are these 2 polls entirely separate or are all the results compiled?

Wish I could say Granite Peak still has a good park... But it sucked dick this year. It's weird how a hill can change in two years.

Used to have a 7-jump line and a 3 jump line at the same time, along with a fifty footer. This year was just 4 seperate jumps of different sizes.

What if my mountains park is poop

Then fill in the survey (assuming they are one of the options). If the park blows then say it blows, they need to know they need to step up their game.

I think it would be cool to be able to review mountains/parks on here, almost similar to how gear reviews are set up. You can rate the park, the terrain, the nightlife, the expense, the vibes, etc. I know thats obviously easier said than done, but I think it would be cool. A good amount of threads come up in the fall and winter of people asking where to go for spring break or winter break or for a weekend. So I think it would be cool to have that!

My home hill gives no fucks about their embarrassing park. I wish it was even worth the time to fill this out and roast them

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for but you should check out snowparkfinder.com.

Gives you a decent overview about all the Parks and Resorts.

A rating would be sick tho.

Need some deetz and pics.

fuck I wish I had taken pictures this last season. They built a "tabletop" that was basically a very wide jump, super narrow "top" of the table that you jump over, back out to a super wide landing. The top of the table was also not flat whatsoever, if you looked at the jump from the side the tabletop on which the jump rests looks more like a giant mogul. It looked absolutely hilarious.

It's probably not as bad as your jore horror stories though. Mostly a bunch of poorly set rails that are stickier than you could imagine, and not a single remotely acceptable jump in literal years.

Im not gonna lie, but me and some buddies have literally put Hyland Hills on the map, I was surprised it was even on the list. We have given it so much marketing and all we get in return is a shit park, probably the laziest park crew anywhere ever, and poorly maintained features that rot back in the woods. Also, lack of usage of space this year made it worse, along with not changing up the features very often, though the weather didnt help. I gotta say, I would they have the worse maintained, built park anywhere in all of MN, yet make some of the most money. A dam shame, but really its all from the managing. All they care about is there new chalet and ski lessons. The only thing I look forward to next year is better weather and more snow

You should try coming to Trollhaugen more this winter. Although the park crew is mostly snowboarders, they do an incredible job of keeping the features maintained.

I know I went like 4 times last year, 1hr 30 min drives is tough to do everyweekend when I can drive 30 mind to Hyland or Elm. 14mpg can only get me so far

Back in the day of like 09 the park was pretty sixk, knew some homies who skied it then and the park looked the best it's ever been. Today, it's shit, the park crew are local high schoolers and a couple drop outs. One of the cat drivers is the only dude who actually works his ass off and does a good job at it. They literally built the jumps how one park crew boarder wanted so he could try a dub. They give zero shits and it has the worst maintainance anywhere I've ever skied and has retard staffing. It's gone downhill since like 2010. I've had multiple incidents this year with some friends and even coaches and it's fucking brutal the way they handle their stuff.

im from Alaska I love every type of skiing ....yes even racing haha the only resort is Alyeska an they dont budget enough money to build anything decent. i mean you're charging locals $1420 for a seasons pass an weekend warriors $75-$100. My guess is they owners pockets are getting bigger rather than their park.

Hunter's park is donkey dick. Lack of care all around.

That's a bummer to hear. They used to be decent a ways back. Windham was the one that was slacking a bit I always felt but not windham is stepping up their game pretty hard.

They will be both separate and combined, depending on where you're looking. We'll only be covering the ski portion of the user opinions you guys give, but we'll have the resort data shared with TW Snow.

The mixed publications (SPT and TW Biz) will be using both sets of data, so we'll ideally have data that looks at which mountains skiers like and which snowboarders like - and if its the same.

7 Springs had an amazing setup this year for how bad the winter was. In December, conditions were too bad to open the parks but park crew set up some rails on the main slope. It was ill. The alley also had a super fun setup when they did open it. I was surprised I got to ride the spot this year. Even more surrpirsed I got to hit the superpipe and the jumps (Which almost killed me several times because of how big they are). I just wish Santa's Beard had more rails year round. Other than that Springs killed it this year.

I love Trollhaugen, it's not a huge name in the skiing world but definitely is in the snowboard world. The park crew is full of amazing riders who built creative features. So blessed to be able to ride there.

Stopped reading after I saw Snow Park Tech was involved. If you want to pay $30k consulting fee for some TV douche to tell you "make snow here for jump" then go for it.

My vote goes to Telluride this year. Under the radar and their head guy kills it better then most.

Well the top parks in the country consistently are the parks that work with SPT. Not saying it's the perfect answer for every mountain but, most places get quite a bit better when they link up with SPT. Also there are a ton of shitty parks out there. If it was such a simple task of turning things around, park consulting contracts wouldn't exist and people would build proper parks in house from the start.

FALSE!!

Example: Alpine Meadows

Mountain Creek is usually pretty rad and I've always been stoked to get such sick park skiing in New Jersey but this year was kinda shitty. Three jumps and no pipe at the peak of the season.

My mountsin park sucked this year but the park is always bad. They didn't even have any decent kickers this year. The one kicker they had they took down. They just don't put any effort into the park. I worked there and volunteered to help with the park. The thing is the guy that sets up the park is really never there. Especially with the lack of snow this year, they weren't in dire need of setting up new features.

my mountain likes to build big jumps with tiny landings so you overshoot to flat every single time. luckily there's plenty of natural hits that are way better.

Nonexistent. I ski at magic mountain in Londonderry VT and we have great terrain, but no park. We're a stop on the STEFT, but the mountain has never had much money so they haven't been able to afford a park, despite what it says on the trail map.

Alpine valley is usually pretty good. They could amp up there jump game tho. They switch out the set up usually every three weeks but it's kinda the same. So I dunno, Alpine valley park crew and MKE dirtbag crew need to improve. But they do get pretty creative which is good.

Dude you os guys get mad parks compared to us. In Australia we get heaps less snow which is a given but in victoria our park guys do a pretty bad job. My home mountain is hotham and it's always rubbish seriously. They have one jump over 25 foot which is ridiculous and their rails are horrible as well. Best we've got tho so just put up with it and shred I say

lol same my resort, bristol mountain might be one of the works in the country lol

Go to Ayleska Resort if you want to ride a park that has small features with large feature signs next to the ten foot tables haha the sad thing is they dont get snow like they did 10 years ago so really no reason to ever plan a trip there

we didn't have a single jump up last year till February our rail park had 5 rails in it and our mini park was pretty much flat so no speed for anything had like 2 5 ft jumps and the smallest rails possible
