okay so this may be a bit ranty but:

So. It has been around two years since I have really had television.. One of those years I was in Switzerland and I never watched TV and then another year I just didn't have rabbit ears and i dono i was lazy. i watch movies and stuff, but that is it. Anyhow, I spen the last 3 months in Switzerland living with a couple Swiss friends of mine and they had TV. On Swiss or well European Tv there were hardly ever commercials. On Swiss SF2 (like the fox of switzerland with all the best shows like simpsons, etc) they had commercials for like 2 minutes in between shows. Also there is like soft porn on all the time at night. just adds for shit. they just really aren't prudish about boobs and like hot lesbians like americans. Anyhow, now I am back in Portland, OR.. and I have rabbit ears.. I've been trying to watch TV, but I don't think they actually play Television shows anymore. It seems like every single time i turn on the Tv its commercials!! Every channel except Oregon Public Broadcasting!!! It's insane.. I have not seen a single show.. It's ridiculous.. Luckily there is Tv links and stuff.. or else I'd be screwed/ But seriously.. watching my computer isn't always that great. anyway..
 
ya commercials suck but theres no way out of them for the tv stations now cuz if they cut down on commercial time than theyll lose lots of $$$. maybe theyll get more viewers but i dont think it will pay as well as advertising does
 
it's true, there are SO many commercials. the most annoying this is when you're watching a show (ie, SNL or the late show) and they come back for literally 60 seconds then go straight back to a commercial wtf???
 
ya seriously its insane.. i dont think i have ever turned on the tv and seen a show tihout having to wait through 5 minutes of commercial first.. and its like this on every channel! its nuts.. i mean i know it makes them a ton of money and shit.. but that just doesn't justify it.. why can broadcasting in Europe so far less commercial ridden.. mean shouldn't we be able too.. anyway jaja.
