Thanks for all the wonderful stories, memories and beautiful things all of you shared about Teddy.
To know Teddy had such wonderful friends and that he enjoyed life like he did makes us know that he left this life on earth very rich, a wealth many will never know.
The Knapes- Bill Cindy Peter and Paul will be coming to Bellingham the second week in May and are planning a memorial service for Teddy tenatively set for May 13th. I want it to be a reflection of Teddy's life in the PNW so it can be your service we will just help do what we can. We love all of you because you loved Teddy like we did and Teddy will continue to impact everyone of our lives. We feel privledged to have enjoyed him and shared his life for the 21 years he was with us. This is a poem we thought you might enjoy, it has helped all of us.
You can shed tears that Teddy is gone,
Or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray Teddy will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see Teddy,
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday.
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember Teddy and only that he's gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what Teddy would want, open your eyes, love, and go on.
