Tap water

I live in a small town in BC which is situated halfway up the mountainside. We have some of the best tap water I have ever tasted and I love coming back after a trip and drinking our water.

I was driving up the hill from the valley the other day and thought about all the different towns and how tap water tastes slightly (or drastically) different from one place to the next. I'm curious NS, how is your tap water?

I feel like everyone likes the way their tap water tastes at home because it's what they're used to. I think my tap water tastes great, but anywhere else it tastes gross.

Some HUGE bottled water company got caught bottling tap water in Calgary and selling it as mineral water lol. I forget who it was, but Calgary has ridiculously clean water.

Tastes amazing, some of the cleanest in the world. Such a clear taste, it comes from Lake Päijänne before being processed.

I hate when people won't drink tap water because they think its not clean, then pay taxes which pay for making the water clean.

i have well water and its not too bad, ive had better. but my aunt and uncle who live down the road have the worst water ive ever tasted it has to be something to do with there water softener or they just dont have one because after taking a shower there i feel like im weighed down by whatever is in it.

people are crazy about tap water, but people are crazy about countless stupid things. ever seen the girls with pieces of tape over their laptop's webcam? it's because they think that it's possible for someone to hack into their computer and watch them. seriously.

I live in mammoth lakes, the tap water is the bomb shit. Although I've never been to any place in the US where I though the tap water was bad, just slightly different.

Their reasoning: If tap water is clean then why did I spend $50 on a Brita filter? Therefore, tap water is not clean.

Portlands tap water is extremely good. But when I go down to southern Cali, it's awful, even my dad, who grew up there, can't stand it.

if you are from the copper country part of MI, then yes your tap water is the best. whatever it is about X amount of copper in your water, its better than anywhere else I've ever been, my tap water is meh. it's very quite.

My parents have well water, they're near the top of a hill in upstate New York. It's so good, and all of my other well/spring friends have awesome water as well.

Have some of the best tasting tap water in the country. /claim. Aurora water actually just signed a contract to have it bottled. I think it was ranked number three on a taste test.

Also bottled water costs $1+ but with water costs in homes it costs about the same to fill up your bath tub a whole lotta times. Tap Water>Bottled Water in so many ways.

Oxford, Ohio (Miami University) has fucking TERRIBLE tap water. A SHIT TON of calcium in it, so whenever you wash dishes, it gets a white residue on it from the calcium, regardless of the type of calcium fighting detergent you use. I drank it for a few weeks and had diarrhea for 2 weeks straight. Never again.. Never again..

But my hometown has pretty decent tap water

Tap water tastes the same to me everywhere i go, same with coke and pepsi.Personally, I don't taste a difference, I know many people would beg to differ.

this East PA tap water is the best. However, every year when I go down to Buxton, NC they always have the same nasty ass tasting tap water

Northeast PA to be exact. My water is delicious and I love it. I fucking hate when I'm drinking water that came from a tower and not a well.

the tap water in san bernardino county is laughably horrible. it comes out white because of all the oxygen, tastes like shit, and apparently isn't very good for you.

Compared to Sacramento's tap water, ours is incredibly good. I feel like whenever I go to California, the tap is nasty no matter what city I'm in.

a couple things to add. In 2010 Greenwood BC was voted the 3rd "best" tap water in British Columbia and a few years before that, Chilliwack was voted #1 for tap water.

If you are on a town water supply and not a well, there usually quite a bit of chlorine in your water. If you poor your water into a pitcher or something along those sorts and let the water breath before drinking it, it tastes better and is healthier for your body.

Not at all, happened to some of my friends. Webcams should always be facing down when you are not using them.

ill drink tap water as long as it looks legit.

mine is just fine, but I have a filtered thing in the fridge anyways that comes out icey cold so i just drink that.

my school's drinking fountain water is so delicious, especially after a hard workout.

and my tap water is top notch too. true story: tap water in the united states is held to higher cleanliness standards than bottled water
