Tanners no grab

so is any one else not feeling tanners run? if someones gonna win for just purely spinning like a top dumont should, cus he looks a little better on his huge spins with no grab. i didnt even watch the super pipe comp i just saw a clip of tanner, but i hope i will see more creativity rewarded by judges in other competitions this year. im not feeling the spin to win out come of that super pipe competition.

He was infact all around higher than Dumont. Dumont wasn't on his game. Tanner did also make grabs in his spins. It didn't look it in real time. He grabbed ends of skis which is more points with judges. And he incorperated everything.

AND HE SPUN BOTH WAYS!

Yeah, no doubt Tanner's run was insanely tech and all, but I was feeling Dorey's run quite a bit more. Tanner's runs had more steeze last year in my opinion, but I guess he has all season to get it that way this season.

yeah simon fell and on the run he didnt that actually scored he did a straight air to switch... tanner definitely deserved it in my opinion, he was going significantly higher than everyone else and had a pretty tech run. I think the judges rewarded creativity pretty well, duncan adam's run was pretty creative and he ended up in the top 3. thats how i remember it at least

ive seen vids of both tanner and simon grabbing there 12s. i think just because speed was a issue they couldnt get enough amplitude to get good grabs in. i think well see alot more out of them in the upcoming comps like tanners doubles and dumont getting out of the stratosphere again.

As much as I dislike him, Tanner's run was obviously the best of the night. Bigger, more technical, cleaner... It wasn't the greatest pipe run ever, but the snow and wind had to do with that.

idk, tanners grabs seemed pretty weak, it was real tech, but the grabs were more just like touch the ski for a split second at the end of the spin, i think dorey, duncan and olenick should been the three on the podium

its not like simon grabbed his 1260. Tanner and Simon were the only ones doing 12's. Dorey, Tanner, and Simon all didn't grab their sw 10's. so chill down

this kind of reminds me of last years x-games, where everyone thought simon should of had it in the bag with his last run. Everybody forgot how technical tanner was on his runs

yeah its just the people who didn't know skiing in the audience thought simons run was more visually appealing, forgetting how tech Tanner was getting

worddd. idk how it can be doubted. when i saw his run i was like damn and everyone else didnt wow me as much for some reason

it was the weather. none of the guys culd do their best shit casue they couldnt do the right neights. obviously grabing cork 12's with little amplitude is not easy. tanner is the shit and no one should talk shit on him and what hes done for skiing.

yeah, he is the biggest name in freestyle skiing to the general public i would say. Ask anyone who doesnt follow skiing to name a pro freeskier, they will most likely say Tanner Hall.

i wanna know why everyone was giving simon shit for not grabbing on the first 12 ever thrown in the pipe, and now when tanner does it, everyone shits their pants. yeah tanner deserved to win, his run was dope, and simon fell, but hes gettin no shit for his no grab 12

i agree that tanner is one of the best skiers in the world but you cant say that tanner cannot be criticized just because of what hes done for skiing and that he is the man

I absolutely hated Tanner's run and absolutely loved Dorey's run. I will give Tanner the benefit of the doubt though because the weather was definitely his downfall. I'm sure that if the conditions were better Tanner would have put out a much better, grabbed, run, with a double for sure. I can't wait to see him bust out his real run.
On the other hand though, mad props to Justin Dorey. You are a machine. Spun left, spun right, spun switch left, spun switch right, flipped left, flipped right. Name one pipe skier who is more well rounded than that with as much style? God I loved his run.

Well, because Simon couldn't really have been expected to grab Greg Tufflemayer's skis way back then, he was just a little kid.....
