yeah... in fact most racers can kill it everywhere.

the attitude that in order for 'newschool' skiing to progress, traditional racing has to die (or be seen as a lesser skill) is such bullshit.

there are many topics I would like to discuss, but fear it will just turn into a 'your gay', 'you can't like park skiing if you also enjoy skiing gates'.

Like what do you think about freeskiing competitions? doesn't this seem like an oxymoron? Don't get me wrong, I love to watch x-games, us open coverage, etc. but judging is such a subjective task. I think this is what is nice about racing. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you, if your fast, your fast. period. anyway, this post has lost its direction, so thats all for now...

 
stop glorifying racing. its cool that theyre skiing, but id rather watch tanner in like wsk than bode on NBC. even if he did a bio 900 i bet he'd look sketchy

I'll admit it. Bode is good at racing. Just like the Hungarians are really good at water polo. Does it mean that they're rad? Not in my book.

yeah bode is fuckin reppin the usa with all his power. more power too him. but so is tanner winnin X every year so its all good. there both the best at ehier respective disciplines

yea i would have to agree that i would prefer to watch tanner throw down some crazy ass slopestyle or pipe run than watch bode carve turn after turn on an icy run.

ehhh i do not agree with u on most racers can kill it everywhere.... probibly pro racers deff. kill it everywhere... when i was on ski team my first three years of highschool there was this girl who was our top girl skiier.. best in our league too... she had a huge head and was a bitch... when it snowed and there was like 5 inchs of powder she would complain likea bitch and start to just get hella annoying because she couldnt ski powder. all she can do is race that all she can do.... no poweder skiing.

i think tanner will look back at some of the things he said in the past and say, what the hell was i thinking? seems like he's really grown up in the past few seasons.
 
why doesn't tanner get into racing like jon and prove he is just as fast. i think they should have a little battle tanner race half as good as bode and bode do tricks half as good as tanner. and the speed think he didn't even get enough speed to hit chads how is he doing to get the speed to win a downhill race
 
i think its funny lookin at all the hate posts about tanner and now lookin at all the posts about him now its like the exact opposite... like in this thread everyone hates him but now hes one of the most respected skiers out there
 
Now both skiers have progressed and are killing it harder. Tanner has become an icon and Bode has become the best American racer ever.
 
i like both of them a lot. bode had been in my top 5 favorite skiers seince like 2002. hes the man especailly after he left the US ski team. well im kinda mad he left, but if hes gonna win more and hes happier, than good for him! and tanner is just the man..

and to what martini said: do you still think that? holy shit was that a rant...

 
i have to admitt i dont know the whole story but if tanner is hating on bode that is fucking wack.
i look up to both of them ALOT and they are both the shit, bode is clear a WAY better "skier" (can turn better) than tanner and their is no reason for hating, bode is BY FAR the most legit dude in all of racing. I raced for a really long time and had to quick cuz i hated all the fucking duchebags involved in that sport but bode is definitely the coolest guy of them all, and yes i have met him many times and know his entire family

true dat, but i still think tanner is the man, its just a completely different sport, and you know as well as i that they both smoke week and neither of them really finished high school, they are basically very similar people in two complete different sports, its like comparing the divers in the olympics and the swimming racers
 
no matter how much i like tanner,i think bode was right in that whole story,freeskiing is a sport based on image so if you don't get the image,you suck at it,and racing is sport based on time so if you dont get time you suck at it
 
Its cause he has matured a lot in how he thinks. I dont think think he would say stuff like this now (hey I could be wrong tho).
