Everything he says now is right on . . . Powder video awards, SIA, NS interview. He used to try too hard. Now he seems comfortable with his rasta-hippie, backcountry image. I like Tanner 2.0.
 
Yeah, I read it yesterday.

I never really liked him - I never denied he had talent though, but after reading that article, he is definitely one of the skiers I respect the most now.

no but for real, i still need to read this freeskier article you guys are raving about, because of late when ever i hear tanner speak, i think to my self, wow what a fucking tool, it is possible for people to change though, any one have a linky for the freeskeir interview?
 
Eh, I'm not sure if this thread is a joke or whatever but Tanner came across as a complete moron in that Powder awards video.
 
I think it's true, sometimes when you hit rock bottom you realize that you need to better yourself. why would you ever call someone a penis?

tanners always been own. for skiing he has his moments of being a cock head but he has always been down for the sport of skiing and thats all that should matter.

that might be a complement to you but me........i dont like penis. and tanner was just fine before he broke his ankles. its called he grew up an became more mature.
 
I think that his injury did make him appreciate how much he loved skiing a bit more, because it was almost taken away from him. It seems like he is also really giving props to the people he rides with/competes against/newschoolers as a part of his overall appreciation for the sport.

To the haters, in the words of DL Incognito,"Haters don't even like themselves." so find a way to have more self esteem kids.
 
i think that its never too late to make self improvements, so if tanner gets cooler than im all for him
 
dude tanner memorized a post xgames speech. no hatin.. but i can prolly recite this thing to you.. "simon was boostin big outa the pipe, mad props, but the judges are looking for that progression and thats spinnin both ways and going switch in the pipe.. and thats the way pipe skiing is headed and i think thats what set me ahead"  blablabla.. it was good the first time.. but after reading, hearing it on every ski related thing. im sick of it.
 
Guys, tanner has always been a good guy, you just watch these movies and see this media and he looks like a complete douche.
 
This thread is no joke--I'm faux_real. I don't think Tanner seems mornonic anymore. Just look at the number of unnecessary shout-outs to pro snowboarders in his recent speeches. Zero. He's got substantial things to say now. Big ups to Tanner 2.0.

casue the kiwis gota lot of built of anger..there isnt many hot girls nz , soo all that sexual frustration taken out on his mum would be good for her.
 
If i was a pro i would probaly be looked down upon so much by people who want pros to have perfect morals from excessive pot smoking and stupid shit i do, i feel for tanner and all pros alike
 
atleast he is being consistent.

none of us really havea right to pass judgement on tanner since we don't know him. hes done alot for this sport, and seems to have a pretty good idea where he wants to take it, so more power to him.
