Tandem Base Jumping

Sounds like fun. I'd rather just do it myself though and throw my chute/have somebody throw my chute. Instead of having to be attached to somebody.

Might try and get my skidiving license at some point. The $$$ isn't THAT bad but I'm trying to save which makes it not so practical/why I haven't done it yet

Sean Chuma who does the tandems at the bridge is a good buddy of mine. He's a solid dude with thousands of BASE jumps. He even took a 98 year old lady out on a jump! Keep in mind the "dangerous" things you are hearing about is because it's a media's wet dream when one of us splats into the ground. They will say things like tragedy to make it seem like they have a conscinous about it but at the end of they day it's just sensationalism profiteering.

The Moab base adventures tandem from a cliff is no longer available because Mario died in Italy (about 2000 feet away from where Shane died).

What you are seeing are wingsuit deaths. Wingsuit BASE jumping is a whole other beast than jumping tandem off the Perrine. It's like comparing the bunny hill to Jackson Hole BC.

Go talk to Chuma say you are low on funds and I'm sure he will take you for what you can offer. Go have fun and if "being strapped to a dude" just isn't fun for you well then you're doing it wrong. I would do a tandem with Chuma any day if I wasn't a jumper already.
