Hey has anyone had the chance to use one of these. Im thinking about getting one to have as a long lens cause they are affordable for me compared to the nikon 70-200 f2.8. I hear that they are actually very sharp and good lenses for the price. If you dont like it want dont you like? and what would you recommend instead?

Thanks for the advice.

Here is a comparasine to the nikon 70-200 and it looks really good.

Photo or video?

If you're using nikon, get the 80-200 f4. its like 300 bucks and is an amazing piece of glass. Only downside it no auto focus and its push pull.

I would say 75% photo 25% video and yea I have a Nikon d3100 so the manual focus would kinda suck but I am thinking about upgrading my body soon though and this lens is only 350 on b and h right now

if you're shooting indoors, youre going to struggle with the f4-5.6

hows the noise performance on your camera?

if you care about your image quality, don't buy cheap glass. You will want to upgrade sooner then you think
