Tamron 24-70mm f2.8

Im going to be buying the 5d mark iii in the next couple of days but im still deliberating over which lens to get with it. I already have a 70-200 L f.4 and a few vintage primes but I want to get a standard zoom as well. Im leaning towards he tamron due to price, but first I was hoping to see if anyone had any experience with it?

Also if you had to choose between the tamron and the canon 24-105 which would it be?

the real canon 24-70 2.8 (used mk1). The tamron has pretty bad corner fall off and is no where near as sharp out of center

I absolutely love my 24-105 for an everyday casual lens. It's pretty sharp and gets the job done nicely with some good bokeh at the longer focal length

this, i was on a sunset jump shoot with a guy who had one with his 7d and all his shots turned out super sharp compared to everyone else.
