Talking to "god"

"god" didn't want to frighten him so he picked someone he personally wouldn't be intimidated by which was a 30 yo man with a hobgoblin t shirt.

I have absolutely no religious faith but this seemed feasible, the idea of a higher power having some control over the evolution of our universe.

Deep thoughts and somewhat inspiring...

Good Find

A good read for sure

Lots to think about. Everyone is identical looking at the same topic from different angles, who is too say whats right and wrong. Too much hate and discrimination between each other in this world. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so just let each other be.

I think humans will continue to evolve. But instead of environment-driven evolution it will be human-driven. You can already start to see it with gene therapy and how they screen fetuses for downes syndrome and other conditions. Eventually we will get to the point where we are manipulating the genetic code to get ideal offspring (think Gattaca).

wow. so glad i took the time to read that.

so interesting. i almost wish that was made into a book.

i have always thought about stuff like that, but that just gave me more things to think about

It's more just getting into it, then finishing it/stopping reading and knowing that there's zero truth behind the words. Like coming out of a sick movie that you were totally into

Just about sum's it up. And I do appreciate this, thank you for posting it, repost or not.

Personally, I will not post my person thoughts about this. Quite frankly, it would be because I have no idea wtf I just read.

Hmm if you go to the actual site that this is from, at the bottom it says

(If you've enjoyed this and, in particular if you're wondering why we didn't touch on the issue of "Life After Death",

you might like to try my play - Resurrection Part 1 - Primary Species)

Which makes me believe this is fiction as "why we didn't touch on the issue of life after death" sounds like they wrote this all down not as an actual events, but conveying their ideas in a story. Still, it's a very interesting read and the idea that there IS a greater being out there and how he can affect us is pretty intriguing. Great morning read for sure, +k

to any fuck face saying this is typical christian propaganda, stop being an ignorant, lazy fuck and read the story. i know there was at least one post like this on the first page, and the ignorance made me rage like you wouldn't know

first of all i didnt read that cuz everyone knows attention spans r for nerds and second anybody who believes in god is a big phony cuz your all sinners and if you did believe in god you would also believe ur going to hell and from what ive heard hells a pretty crappy place but if all you guys actually believed ur belifs youd know you were fucked so wuit frontin

After reading this, i sat in my chair for about 30 minutes, wrapping my mind around what was just said. Great find. Truly interesting.

k i tried reading it the guy has the same name as me the character is a big tool at the start there was some cool shit but i just cant read right now

Total bullshit. You have a talk with God and he says you can ask him anything you like, and you do not ask about the afterlife?
This was a exercise in positing a God but making that existence be logical, ie deal with the problem of evil.
