Taking Herbs into Nebraska

I was just wondering if anyone from Colorado has had issues with Cops profiling for weed while driving through Nebraska. How sketchy it is to drive into Nebraska with a small amount of weed from Colorado.
 
just drive carefully and you'll be good. If you roll in high as fuck swerving and holding a doobie, then sure you might get pulled over.
 
Shit dog, this one time i was high as fuck, swerving all over and holding a doobie and the motherfuckin po po pulled me over. Shiiiiit
 
One time I pulled over this low life piece of shit hippy stoner from colorado about a few miles into nebraska.

He was swerving all over holding a doobie yelling smoke weed every day out the windiw.

For a hippy he sure was not chyll about it.

I know i shouldnt get pulled over. Just heard lots of stories about BS excuses the cops use to pull over a driver with a Colorado plate. Even heard they searched an elderly persons car because "she fit the description of a drug dealer." Just seeing if anyone has actually done this drive without incident or if they got pulled over and how it all went down. Shitty part is im not driving.
 
Go 5-8 mph over the limit. If you drive at the limit or under cops will suspect ur hiding something. Just like driving after drinking a little. Youve gotta fit in so drive the speed ppl normslly drive at

I've heard these too.

Would asking: "Am I being detained or am I free to go?" be an appropriate strategy in this case? If you were driving right and the cop, having pulled you over, has no lead on weed, you should be able to leave, even if he says he has to search your car.

Thats what you normally should do. Fucked up thing is they will say anything is suspicious of having weed. Just having a Colorado plate makes you suspicious. Then if they say "can we search the car" and you dont respond with "sure" then they'll say you not allowing a search is grounds for search. And driving a little over is shit to. Buddy (with Michigan plates) got pulled over and got a warning for going 3 miles over. He was doing 78 in a 75.

Decent conversation about it on this thread. Seems like repeating "Am I being detained or am I free to go?" and denying all searches is mostly about building up a case. They're gonna try and fuck you regardless, apparently by stalling until a K9 unit rolls up.

Word, but just because they say that, doesn't mean it's true. They'll lie to you to try and get into your car, and they'll make up bullshit reasons to have pulled you over and to stall you. Most of the minor traffic violations (going 3 mph over) don't warrant a search. If you don't consent to any search, they can't perform one unless there's some proof or reason. Even if they bring the dog while you stall, I don't think you have to consent. If the dog walks near your car and goes berserk...I think at that point you can't do much else, but at that point you've defended your rights as best you can and a court would respect that.
 
I personally have to good friends who were going out there for a show and got busted and thrown in jail by some over authoritarian douche bag popo. Plus I've heard of multiple cases were cops across the nation have been pulling over cars with Colorado plates on them for no apparent reason at all.

Usually I'd recommend this but after recent events I wouldn't. Cops need a reason to pull you over, they can't pull you over for going the speed limit. AS long as your car is up to code and you make sure you aren't making any driving infractions, driving the speed limit is your safest bet. Even 5 over gives them an actual reason to pull you over.

if youre not driving you cant be charged with anything. Unless youre physically smoking the weed or its on your person. If its just in the car, its all on the driver. Or at least thats how it is in PA. IDK if its any different in colorado/nebraska
 
I realize this will probably be an unpopular opinion, but why don't you just not bring the weed? You said it yourself that it is a small amount. No weed=no problem.

You can't be charged if you deny it is yours by saying it was the driver's. Great idea... try to screw your friends over by not taking responsibility for your own actions.

My buddy got pulled over coming back from CO in Nebraska for suspicious activity on the highway. Got searched and they found a ounce and a few pipes. In jail for 36 hours, biiiiig $ bail, hefty fines, granted they may have been able to fight it, but it wasnt worth their time to fly back to nebraska and hire a big money attorney to fight it.

Just hide it good. So easy to hide in a car. Vaccum seal in smell proof bags and hide it deep somewhere. And dress classier than a stoner bum

If your car is fully packed, they are not going to unpack the whole car just to find a little weed. with that being said, contain the smell and dont look blazed. drive normally and it will be fine. I have hid weed under the rear bumper a lot and that seems to work. I put a little container and screwed it in and its great.

dont pull off if you see a 'checkpoint ahead' 'search dogs ahead' sometimes they just put a sign with a huge weed leaf on it. anyway the checkpoints arent real, its a trap to see who starts driving erratically. pretty obvious stuff but I see it all the time on I70 in KS

I live in Illinois, where everything is illegal.

I hide my stash in a little compartment in my airbox under the hood.

Very hard to find.
 
Just fucking bring it. After a little while you should naturally get over the rush and you'll be fine. It's really not a big deal especially if you're only bringing a small amount
 
take the back seats out of your car and lay down lots of sand. separate the weed into nugs and spray paint them grey so they look like rocks, and place them on the sand. the back of your car will look like a japanese contemplation garden and you will not be pulled over.
