i see lots and lots of questions about taking apart/bending fks brakes so i went ahead and made a video. the picture tutorials help a lot but seeing someone actually do it helps the most, so here it is
sorry about crappy quality/filming, i just used my isight camera in my badly lit basement but you can still see everything you need to. also when exporting the vid it cut off a little bit of the bottom but it doesn't effect anything

just a heads up for anyone whos attempting this for the first time, it will NEVER go this smoothly. i dont think ive ever done it that smoothly. another thing is measure twice, bend once. if you fuck up its really difficult to create another bend in the brake. it usually just slides back to the first bend you made if theyre close. this happend to me and i had to rebend it like 3 times and then it broke.

haha i failed hard getting the spring back in, i had to cut out part of it, it took me like 2 mins, it usually takes me like 20 seconds
but yeah, make sure you read the tgr thread before you bendalso remember to account for 5mm on either side for the bend radius
and that vise is ghetto, home depot ftw. i've already broken 2 of them

And one method i have used with getting the spring back in is to seat the 2 un attached arms down where they are supposed to go, leave the half moon piece on, and then just bang the shit out it like you did.

Either or, i might try this method next time.

that would be epic if there was a binding help sticky thread like to go along with the binding adjustment one
 
there needs to be a ski/binding matinence thread! have my vid on waxing, this vid on fks, the vid on mounting, and what ever other vids people make
 
yeah why doesnt one of you who made a video start a thread and call it 'the official ski/binding maintenence thread' post your video(s) then a mod will sticky it hopefully
