...GREATER LAKE TAHOE AREA-GREATER RENO-CARSON CITY-MINDEN AREA-LASSEN- EASTERN PLUMAS-EASTERN SIERRA COUNTIES- MINERAL AND SOUTHERN LYON COUNTIES-MONO-NORTHERN WASHOE COUNTY- SURPRISE VALLEY CALIFORNIA- WESTERN NEVADA BASIN AND RANGE INCLUDING PYRAMID LAKE- 345 PM PDT FRI SEP 17 2004

... UNSEASONABLY COLD WEATHER SYSTEM WITH STRONG WINDS AND MOUNTAIN SNOW EXPECTED OVER THE NORTHERN SIERRA AND WESTERN NEVADA THIS WEEKEND...

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE CURRENTLY OFF THE BRITISH COLUMBIA COAST WILL DIG DOWN THE WEST COAST AND MOVE ONSHORE THIS WEEKEND BRINGING AN ABRUPT CHANGE TO UNSEASONABLY COOL WEATHER.

WINDS AHEAD OF THE TROUGH WILL REMAIN STRONG OVERNIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL SIGNIFICANTLY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THE TROUGH COULD BRING SOME PRECIPITATION TO THE AREA AS EARLY AS THIS EVENING OVER EXTREME NORTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA. MORE WIDESPREAD RAIN AND UPPER ELEVATION SNOW WILL SPREAD OVER THE NORTHERN SIERRA AND WESTERN NEVADA BY SATURDAY NIGHT. BY SUNDAY EVENING SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE IN THE NORTHERN SIERRA... INCLUDING THE TAHOE BASIN....

woo hoo snow in califoonia! Its fucking starting its gonna hit tahoe for sure late this afternoon.. It just went over my house. weather.com doesnt say its gonna snow but i bet everyone a doller it does.

I live just down the hill from boreal and it is raining like a mutherfucka right now!
