Tahoe is going off so hard right now.

I did it at daybreak one day back in 2017 with a couple of guys. It was steep. It was scary. But it was also so blanketed with snow that it wasn't as scary as usual. Basically prime conditions for a tram-face drop. There was no mandatory air-out. There was a few really steep narrow sections, and then that was about it.

I wouldn't touch it right now because this snow is way fluffier and lighter than the storms we were getting in 2017 that were pretty damn wet.

Sick, which line?

moved to truckee from new york end of november, had a season ending injury in mid december. missing out on all this snow really sucks but looking forward to next year

Hey I’m pretty much in the same boat... originally from MI but moved from NY (by Syracuse) to Reno a couple weeks ago. I have a bum knee right now but can still ski — just not as hard as I’d like. Gonna gun for surgery in spring. HMU if you wanna ride next year.

Seriously, in all of my years of living here, this may be the best snow conditions I've ever seen. about 7 or 8 feet of right side up blower on top of 2 meters of perfectly bonded base...

its so bottomless that it's sorta terrifying at times.

how many years you lived there? i'm jealous

are we about to get fucked by this warm system moving up? hope it doesnt ruin all this good snow

It's not gonna be great after today anyway. A lot of it is getting crusted by the wind.

Stop whining, if it keeps snowing we'll be skiing on Memorial day.

I have no complaints. Had a great pow day. Just saying there's no point in worrying about what the next storm is gonna do to today's snow.

Got it, I misunderstood your sentiment. Just keep the storms rolling in!

Off and on since 2010.

That and I grew up skiing in the Sierras, driving up from the Valley below.. so even when not living in the mountains, I was experiencing it a LOT.

Monday was so fuckin good

Shouts out to the squaw info lady that saw us walking towards the 45 minute KT line and told us Silvy was opening even though it wasnt listed and the tram was empty! Hookup of the century

Idk what the fuck is going on out there but I fucking dig it. Such sick snow. Blower pow day today. Didn't really have too much interference from crowds and had full chairs on Zephyr when we were hitting that today.

We've been crushing a zone with a border cross vibe, smaller chest to head height cliffs, and some weird random features. Squaded up with the cats I did snowmaking with early season. Was a blast. One of the best days I've had this season possibly ever.

I've skied deeper snow even just this was kind of everything working out. Right people all riding well, great fucking snow. Super dry and lots of it. Honestly the amount of landings where it just exploded into a crazy whiteroom today. Snow has been really solid this month but quality was thumbs up today for sure.

Last year we couldn't build much for parks because we had no snow. This year we had to pull most of our parks to re grade and rebuild because too much snow.

Also possibly a mini pipe in the works which would be sweet.

FUCK YEAH! What a fucking season. Gotta get back out on the splitboard more as well.

Love it when it’s Presidents Day weekend, the most crowded weekend of the year normally, but because there’s so much pow no one could make it up. The lifts had no lines the last three days, fresh tracks almost all day long. Hope the storms keep coming
