T3i dead after fist time filming

hi, so since I'm not an active member of any photography forums I will direct my questions here. So 3 weeks ago on my last day off before work my crew calls me up to go hit some urban and film it, it was -20c and filmed off and on for 3 hrs or so and finished around 1am.

I got home and bagged up my lens and body and wrapped them in my jacket and left them in the garage until morning. Being 1 am and that I had to get up in 4 hrs, not thinking clearly and rushing I left my battery grip attached and batteries in and the camera on (this is how I found it 3 weeks after the fact, today) I'm not sure if it worked the next morning cause I never even dumped the card.

Anyway, I grabbed my camera (T3i i should add) and nothing, wont turn on in any shooting mode, tried with no battery grip and fresh battery, still nothing. Suggestions on what I should do??

I'll also add I'm running magic lantern, only on this one card, would it be advisable to put it on another card and try and turn it on?

I wouldn't mind taking it apart and checking for corrosion if there is common places that are known.

A repair manual or guide or even direction to a more appropriate forum would be much appreciated.

how long were they in the cold for out in the garage? Just overnight or for 3 weeks?

I checked earlier and one (the tallest one) seems to have a little corrosion on it. I'm going to get some q tips and isopropyl tomorrow and try and clean it off. I hope it's that simple, I did have my knock off battery grip on it so their contacts might have been cheap metals

magic lantern also could have some part of this. Take it out and place a new mem card without it in. Then put a new battery in. turn it on.

okay... got it fixed. narrowed it down to the cheap knock off battery grip as well as a card with ML on it.

after browsing online, I found everyone suggests to pull the battery, turn it on and hold the shutter release for 30 seconds and it finally started responding again.

Sure I should have left it at that, but I wanted to see if putting the battery grip would wield the same results; it did, wouldn't turn on again. So I pulled the battery and held the shutter release again.

Again, I tried with my ML card and it died again.

Its strange both the grip AND the card cause it to act like this, so needles to say I will be attempting to return the grip as well as reformatting my card and putting ML on again, hopefully that works as I do rather like the added features. If it doesn't work I'll remove ML completely.
