T2i what glass?

so I bought a t2i and the kit lens. I want to pick up some new glass but don't no where to start. I film skiing and mostly wakeboarding. I have a tripod and a glidecam in the near future. But the catch is I'm low on cash. Under 600 would be nice and I'm okay with used stuff. I'm thinking something fairly wide and maybe a telephoto? Help would be awesome!

Exact lenses I was going to post. Get the tokina now and save up for the telephoto. I had the pleasure of using my friend's yesterday at the skatepark and it was tits.

Ebay the tokina 11-16. Best wide angle for T2i, 60d, and 7d. I regret not buying it when I was looking for a wide angle.

i have a sigma 70-200 2.8 and i really like it. I have heard that their quality control is awful so you can end up with one that matches canons optics or one that is absolute shit. Mine is very crisp and clean and i love it.

I had a sigma 10-20mm and i hated it. I sold it and bought a rokinon 14mm. i love the rokinon. I have never tried a tokina so i cant compare the two.

just my 2 cents

tokina is the shit, i love my 11-16mm and i will buy the canon 70-200mm f/4L is at the end of the summer

I've had time to work with the canon 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 i'd recommend it a ton as well for a wide angle! The variable aperture is fine in this case, as who wants to stop down to 2.8 anyway on a wide angle because you'd have a shallow depth of field. Also look into the 24-70 f/2.8

I've read some photography reviews on it and I heard it's pretty lousy, but Downtofilm uses that lens and he makes that lens look amazing.

ugh...

at 22, let alone 10, you won't have a "shallow" DOF at 2.8 people want 2.8 on a wide angle for low light. People don't always buy fast glass for shallow DOF.

the 24-70 is a completely different level of lens compared to either the tokina or 10-22 EFS, and it wouldnt be wide on a t2i at all
