so i have a rebel xs, but my dad wants my camera and is willing to buy me a new one if i give him some money also. I want a camera that can record good video and take good pictures, so i was thinking the t1i, but then i saw that its only about 25 fps, so are there any issues with slo mo? also, is it worth it to go for the t2i? how much better is the video?

Its what every camera shoots? minus like the t2i and the hvx, 60fps is pretty new still.

If you know what you're doing you can slow down 30 just fine, 60 has a more fluid look imo which i like.

Hands down the T2i. Multiple frame rates and overall better video. The price difference isn't even that much. Not to say the T1i is bad but just not as good as the newer t2i.

That's nothing in the big picture. If you are serious about filming get the T2i. It'd be very surprised to find anyone who likes the T1i better than the new T2i. Not to mention you're going to need nice lenses and not a shitty kit lens. Those alone are going to be at least half the price of the body...

60p is too slow in most cases. Remember when the p2 cameras initially came out, and EVERY video that was shot with them had 60p for EVERY shot? It's cool when used in the right scenarios, but hardly a necessity.

30p is a mild slow motion. All slow motion I shoot is in 30p, which I conform to 24p in Cinema Tools to make it slow motion.

you mean 60/30p, 60p itself is normal speed and can be adjusted from 50%-99% and look good.

I was actually talking aboot 60/24p, but I'm really not a fan of other framerates. I guess if you're into the smooth looks it works out, though.
