I just completed my design for the T-shirt contest.

I connect myself and i go to upload section and, surprise, the maximum numbers of entries has been reached but the contest end the 28th. Why can't we add more entries? this is very sad. I put a lot of work on my design...
 
Because the contest started like last week and they had to put a maximum entry amount or else there would be hundreds.

yeah the contest is unfair. if they put a ending date but no max of entries, they should take them all until the deadline. i'm sure we are not the only persons who it happend to.

If these retarded kids wouldn't put up half assed shirt designs that clearly break the rules this guy would of been able to post his entry.

I'm sorry but this contest turned into a joke real fast, very little info was put out, people spammed the entries and members asking for votes, and now a cap on how many entries are accepted?

I will not be buying this shirt at all simply because of this poorly structured contest.

The reason I wont buy a shirt is the fact that they are allowing kids with MS paint to enter. Do they have any idea how shitty the print will look? And the whole one color thing is BS. Through my factory I go with, its a 12$ charge for each color. So NS is doing one color just to save $24.00
 
i think that they would kinda redo it in illustrator to make it sharp.

but yeah this contest is fucked up. i don't even care anymore
 
I guess the contest is over now but when I went to make an entry it told me my pic was. bmp and it had to be jpg (or vice versa) how do you change that?
 
they shouldn't encourage people to "go at it in MS paint" or what ever the hell it said majority of the entires were god awful...(not saying that mine the best) but i do feel that it sucks for people with lagit designs to get ass fucked by the completely retarded designs that were simply uploaded as jokes...

perfect example of most of the people! take time to read the rules! even if you could have entered and you won... we cant make shirts like this! save yourselves some time and read the rules so you dont have to do all of this for nothing. its INSANE how many people cant read a simple rule... not more than one color, no fading, dimensions... come on guys this is stupid. Dont blame the contest structure.. blame idiots who cant read!

the man speaks truthoh and use some creativity putting a Jiberish crown sideways over an NS logo or just tracing a picture is not original at all and pretty weak in my opinion. The only thing I would change is the voting because it pure BS the designs that have been in first most of the time have been illegal and mostly have their votes gained from pm spamming, the winner should be chosen by NS like last time remember how much we loved Malcolm's Goggle tee? lets bring something fresh and different to the NS store
 
Ha, do you think that makes you sound better? PS exports in raster, which is just as shitty as MS paint, for shirt designs its all about vector, thus, illustrator

You do not need copyrights for images that you are personally using and not profiting from. bud...THINK!

It's honestly painful to read [J]iberish's post. I know you're 14 but can't you put forth a little effort so you sound educated? I mean, really, you've used the terms "breh," "bud," and "fag," than actual words. Splicing together three different things ( Jiberish crown, NS logo, and a Biggie picture) does not qualify as original. You wouldn't stand a chance if you tried to copyright that.

Honestly, what is middle school coming to?
 
You don't need rights to something, as long as there's no money involved; ie. if you're not making money off it, you're in the clear.
[J]ibbirish you made some mistakes, and you gotta just accept you're wrong sometimes.
See, getting copyright for something like a pic of Biggie's face is extremely difficult. Lets say you got that image off google, to to get the rights to the image, you contact the website/guy who you got it off google from (I hope that makes sense). See, that's just not going to cut it because chances are, the guy who posted it doesn't actually own the image, he's just using it and possibly infringing copyrights as well. You need to contact someone who actually made the image (photog, or in this case a label company I think?).
Not only that, rights for something like that is not pocket change - you're not dealing with a student run business here, you're in the real world and that means big money. Why we are all making fun of the fact that you tried to obtain rights for that image, is first because there's no way you would've gotten it, and second because it definitely is not worth it for you.
I've do graphic design myself, and the one huge problem us designers or photographers have is, believe it or not, getting payed. We have a really tough time trying to get what we deserve, and often get underpaid for the amount of work we do. This is partially because of contests like this, and amateurs doing work for product compensation. When a contest like this comes along, we're hesitant to enter because we're not getting anything back for it financially. Now that's fine for people like you, but it's still not worth it to go get copyrights over a bandanna, lanyards, a couple t-shirts...you get what I'm trying to tell you?
Bottom line, we're stoked you tried, but in the mean time I think you should calm down and realize your mistakes. If you have any questions about this kind of stuff, don't be afraid to pm people and ask for advice/help, that's what I did when I didn't know what to do and many members on here have helped me out. Feel free to ask me too, I'll try to help you out as much as possible.
