T Halls vs Afterbangs

Right so im about 5'9 and weigh around 115, i have the choice of either 166cm 07/08 T Halls or 177cm 09/10 Afterbangs. Both are about $310 but the afterbangs come with tyrolia peak 12's. Both brand new. Whats everyone opinions?
 
Well I am really in love with my 0708 t-halls, one of the most fun/playfull park ski I have skied and they are about as soft as the abangs with a bit of a stiffer tail but not by alot and are also more durable than afterbangs so I would suggest them but since you can only get them in 166 you should probably go with abangs cause 166 would be too short for you. If you can find them in 176, you should go for it.
 
Thats exactly what i was thinking, i really want the T Halls but i can only get them in 166 for that price =/ Its a difficult decision.
 
as far as deals go, skis + bindings > skis

even if t-halls are "better" skis, in my opinion, you're going to get a better deal for your $310 with the afterbangs + tyrolia peak 12s
 
Eh... that's not always the case. I mean Afterbangs are decent skis and all, but if you were choosing between say a pair of t-halls by themselves, or a pair of Salomons with a pair of crappy bindings, I think you would definitely be willing to shell out a bit more for a quality skis + a good binding.
 
yeah. but in this case, he's getting more bang for his buck with the afterbangs.

that said, i'm pretty sure i'd prefer t-halls (i own them, and have never skied afterbangs), but from an economic standpoint, if you're super low on money, definitely go afterbangs
 
i have the t-halls in a 181 and they are really durable. super light and have a fun flex pattern. Ive known a few people who have gotten the afterbangs but they didnt seem to last to long and felt kinda heavy. hope it helps
