Looks like woodward is building a synthetic slope thing with a a two rail line and a jump,

just for snowboarders for now but who knows. looks pretty sweet right now to me

I actually talk to the president of Woodward, during the X games at the Target house (sorry for the name drop I know its broke- back to do that) but going on. They are working on yes for boarders and skiers a practive area, which on the off-season and camp seasons, skiers can have somewhere to practice. This will include a three-step process or progression. First you will go down a ramp made of synthetic snow with a kicker into a foam pit. Once your down with that, you can graduate to a synthetic rubber jump, again a ramp to a kicker but if you fall it is rubber and you wont break your ass. Last will be a synthetic snow with a kicker and landing. They are trying to expend Woodward snow sports because it is very up and coming (as you all know). He did not know if they were going to do this out in CA or in PA.

cool. but one rail and jump? LAMEE for 650, thats billlls right there. its a sick idea and all. But i can make my own few rails and maybe a jump w/ air bag for less, in my backyard... no lodging or food cost...

theyll let skiers hit it. why wouldnt they? thats like telling people you cant eat at ur resturaunt, its just stupid if they are willing to pay

i have an idea. Pay 350 for a plane ticket to portland oregon, pay 30 bucks for a ride to hood. pay like 40 a day to ski or just plain hike it. way better plan as long as you can live on your own for a week wihtout mr coachy poo telling you how to ski on lameness and lil 12 year old friendsies. If woodward wants to support progression, open shit up more to the public. I will never pay to go to a camp when i could prolly coach the coaches.

^^^ thats harsh.. they have to start somewhere. Woodward is a well known camp and some water ramps to that place and it will be good.

its a lot, but it looks like they have two rails (one on the in-run, one in the flats) and hopefully they'll do some kind of day pass for people who just go once or live close enough that they don't need to stay there. expensive and lame maybe, but its definitely better than nothing.

hahaha word!!! Cool thing is that the welding is done on the first rail, the plywood in-run is done, carpet on thursday - I am over being bitter with the end of the season.

Ya that website is sketchy for details but no where did it say snowboarders only, it is for skiers and snowboarders. Check the e mail response i got from them.

"Skis can also use the dry slope. If you need any more information just email us or visit our website at woodwardcamp.com"

Thanks!
