Swix wax

I was thinking of getting some swix Lf10 ski wax and i wanted to know what the diferences are between waxes. The LF from what i understand means low flourocarbon and it has more hydrocarbon in it. I wanted this because i heard that swix makes the best wax and this was the step down from stuff that costed more than 90 bucks and i wasent going to speand that much on wax. I Looked at the diferences and the more expensive one had more flourocarbon in it. My big question is what is Flourocarbon and what makes it so expensive. Is it any better than a ptex wax or is it just for certain skis. +k for help

What skis are you going to be using it on? If it's just freeride skis, just get the $10 CH waxes. Not necesarry at all to get the expensive ones for freeride/freestyle skis. Only time you'll need it is if you're racing.

I might get pipe cleaners wich have sinterd race bases the wax i want to get is like 20 bucks so it isnt THAT excpensive i just want to know what the diferent waxes do better

I don't really know much about waxes, but I don't think it'd be worth it to get that wax for $20 per 60g when you can get the CH wax for $15 per 180g off artechski.com. I wouldn't pay that much for expensive wax on park skis, even if they have a race base.

This is my take on it, i'm starting to learn a lot more about wax as i get more into racing, but i'm no expert

very simply, flouro makes your skis faster, but dries them out quicker

I, and many people, don't use flouro waxes on their non race skis. IMO it is not needed, a CH wax does the job good enough for my freeride skis.

jep, stick to regular all temp wax, i personally have the TOKO waxes because they're the most common in belgium, i generaly use yellow mixed with red for allround use and indoor skiing, yellow for glacier skiing, red for mountain skiing and blue for when it's super cold :)
fluoro waxes are good if you race and care about making that 1/10th of a second difference ...
even if you just enjoy going fast i think you're better off with regular wax, it's also better for your bases....
