Talk to me yall.

I going there for 7 days early March. I am anti vaccine and booked a cheap AF flight a few weeks ago because I figured they wouldn't be checking for fake cards very hard. Luckily that nonsense is gone and I have no worries about getting arrested at customs! I'm super pumped.

Have been to Verbier/4 Valleys. Had planned to go there and Crans Montana but will stay East if the snow is just as good.

Flumgsburg, Engelberg, Andermatt is what I am thinking.

Davos or St Moritz - terrain worth it for a day?

I will have a car and plan to drive each AM so won't spend on hotels.

Swiss are strict on entry good luck it’s a long way to go on fake docs

Yeah good thing the tyranny seems to be over everywhere but Canada.

I mean I could have done the testing but I have refused that too since I don't want the government harvesting my DNA.

If this is fr, then you're going to have to:

1. Test 24hr before your flight to Switzerland

2. Apply for a Swiss COVID certificate which I wouldn't reccomend trying with a fake vacc card

3. Test 24hr before your flight back to the US

So good luck w that if you're not planning on getting tested or vaccinated

Unless a variant of concern pops up there are no restrictions. Some of you are really passionate about big pharma and government control.

No one should be telling another to get vaccinated.

in the UK we seem to have the most freedoms however Europe are still mad on it.

technically Switzerland isn’t Europe of course but bro they aren't just letting random people in unchecked. Norway is good to go, which is where I’m going as they have lifted all restrictions.

looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Cant wait to see how this will go when peppermill pulls up to the swiss border
https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/hom...en-fuer-reisende/quarantaene-einreisende.html

People entering Switzerland from a country with a variant of concern must observe the health-related measures at the border. Besides the rules set down by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), no further pandemic-related measures currently apply to other people entering Switzerland.

No variant of concern no problems. Read it and weep loser.

I'm disappointed that there aren't more recs in this thread.

No one on here wants to help a rich asshole go on his swiss vacay. Maybe people would be more helpful if you didnt have your "my freedom" stick way up your butt. I get wanting less government and more freedom but man you don't need to be a dick about it all over this website like you do

I mean there are people being assaulted by the police in Canada for not masking on chairlifts. The last 2 seasons corona has factored into deciding where to ski.

Glad you'll be staying away from Canada. Our septic systems can only handle so much shit.

I'm sure you're just having your opinion reinforced by all these idiots telling you to get vaccinated, so I'm not sure why you posted here hoping for advice. Have fun, and I'm sure nothing will go wrong - after all, every country in the world wishes it was more like America!

Let us know how it goes op.

I'm taking bets on if op gets arrested or fined.

Current odds are:

Fined: 5/1

Arrested: 1/3

Fucking degenerate.

I posted the government website. Why don't you want the pandemic to end? You can still get another booster.

Corona is the common cold. You took a dangerous untested injection because the media scared you of the common cold and big pharma wanted to make money off you. You going to subscribe to 4 boosters a year until you die? 2-3 days of feeling like shit after every shot means it works right?

Imagine taking an MRA vaccine for a common cold. People are fucking RETARDS

I know you're just trolling because there's no way anyone is smooth brained enough to believe this, but I'll bite.

Covid has killed approximately 2.5x as many Americans in 2 years as were killed in all of WW2. After adjusting for population differences, covid has killed 2x as many people a year in the US compared to the yearly WW2 death rate.

How many people does the common cold kill each year? Surely you know this.

Plenty of old people die when they are already close to death and catch pneumonia or the common cold or flu. The media just doesn't weaponize it as an attack on the freedoms of citizens.

I'm glad the pandemic is ending but I am not really OK with collaborators like you that bent over to a crooked government and predatory big pharmaceutical companies over this bullshit. You wanted to exclude me from society and dehumanize me you fucking piece of shit.

These mfs would take 10 shots if they were told to. Bent over is an understatement

Doesn't sound like there's much human here to dehumanize. Maybe you align more with another great ape?

So now you are being racist and calling me an ape because I am not going to take an experimental injection that even if it 'worked' as advertised would lessen basic cold and flu symptoms by what 10% for what 2-3 months?

Why did you guys come on here to argue about vaccines and covid, this is a ski forum. Please go and do that shit on Facebook and Twitter

Little to no restrictions in Switzerland now so you will be fine. Engelberg and Andermatt are great for Freeride and ski lodge Engelberg will give you all the information you need re guides etc. I am actually in Davos from next Saturday and will be in town for 8 days. The accessibility to Freeride is the big pull for me here as you can get into some very gnarly shit pretty easy (see fatmap). Let me know if you get over and I will show you about for a day, you should do Flims/laax too

Proof of vaccination status

You must present proof that you have been fully vaccinated to enter Switzerland

Switzerland will accept the UK’s proof of COVID-19 vaccination record and proof of COVID-19 vaccination issued in the Crown Dependencies. However a screenshot or a photo is not sufficient. Further information is available from the State Secretariat for Migration. Your final vaccine dose must have been administered within the last 270 days prior to travel and, in the case of the Janssen vaccination, at least 22 days prior to travel. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.

You will be regarded as vaccinated if you have received a vaccine that either:

is authorised in Switzerland and has been administered in full in accordance with Federal Office of Public Health recommendations; or

has been authorised by the European Medicines Agency for the European Union and has been administered in full in accordance with the requirements or recommendations of the country in which the vaccination was administered; or

has been authorised under the WHO Emergency Use Listing and has been administered in full in accordance with the requirements or recommendations of the country in which the vaccination was administered.

This includes the AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen vaccines that are available in the UK.

Further information is available on the Federal Office of Public Health and State Secretariat for Migration websites. The Federal Office of Public Health also have a helpline for people travelling to Switzerland (+41 58 464 44 88) which is available every day from 6am to 11pm CET.

If you’re not fully vaccinated

Travellers who are not fully vaccinated are only eligible to enter Switzerland from the UK if they are:

Swiss or Liechtenstein nationals;

EU or EFTA nationals;

holders of the following documents:

a residence permit, i.e. a Swiss residence permit (L / B / C / Ci permits);

a cross-border permit (G permit);

an FDFA legitimation card;

a D visa issued by Switzerland;

confirmation of notification for the cross-border provision of services up to 90 days;

a ‘laissez passer’ issued by the Swiss Embassyin situations of special necessity

Travellers who are not fully vaccinated and do not meet one of the exemptions outlined above are not eligible to enter Switzerland. Children under the age of 16 are exempt from testing. There are limited other exemptions from this requirement. A negative COVID-19 test will not grant your entry to Switzerland if you are not eligible to enter (i.e. exempt).

Actually I got a third dose because I'm immunocompromised but yeah working in a hospital also woulda got a booster or third dose regardless.

Just came back from a week in 4 vallees, staying in nendaz.

Flew into Geneva from Uk, needed to show covid vaccination and Swiss PLF to get on plane. No checks now on lifts or in bars etc. You'll need to wear a mask on public transport which also includes some of the bigger gondolas and bubbles from the valley floors upwards.

Snow wasn't great lower down, we got a light amount midweek, but it was raining at lower altitude (under 1700m) which stripped what little fresh snow had come down.

Most of the higher pistes were decent but were getting chopped up a bit towards the ends of the days. Off piste very variable, but some of the Itinery runs were holding up really well.
