Switching out salomons

Right now i have a pair of chronics with some z10s, and was wondering if they have the same hole pattern as the sth 12s?

Also does changing bindings affect the structural integrity of the skis in any way?

Thanks + karma

i dont know what heli coiling is bro, ive never really worked on my own skis before. Ive always just sent them off to the shop to get fixed and whatnot.

hole pattern is the same, just put wood glue in the holes and then screw in the new bindings. be careful not to strip the screws but still get them in there good and tight and you should be good to go. the mount will be a little weaker but you'll probably be fine.

oh sorry i didn't notice you said you were swapping for sth12s, not z12s. the sth12 has the same hole pattern except for an extra screw in the center of the heelpiece. you should probably take them into a shop to have them drill it for you unless you're really comfortable drilling them yourself.
