Switch up while grinding

Alright, so i got down most rails... 75% of the time i will be able to do the rail but for some reason whenever i try to jump a little and switch i fall off. It's like once i jump and turn 90* my feet are glued onto the rail lol and i can't jump. Tips?

i meant by OP that once i jump onto the rail, i can't throw any spins... i have no problem jumping off the lip onto the rail.

he meant on the rail....... I know it sounds weird but just try to slide the rail, jump, and continue sliding. The firsts few times I tried switch-ups I didn't jump and just fell off the rail. So, jump, high.

oh i see.. The main problem i have is just being able to jump while on the rail, and high enough to switch up.. ill try just doing little hops on it first i guess and work my way up.

practice doing front 270 off, with jumping. once you get it just do it early on the rail, youll land in a front swap

If your gonna spin frontside from your right foot forward you wanna tilt your right ski tip up and put it onto the edge of the rail, then push down on your right ski so your edge starts gripping the rail and just cork, jump and spin. Push pretty hard on the edge of the rail cuz you wanna grip it nice . If you do it right you should get enough leverage and then just focus on getting your skis the other way.

get on rail

grip rail with front foot

jump while simultaneously pushing gripped foot in the direction you want to switch up

look with head shoulders knees and toes

continue to spin

land back on the rail

?????????

you just did a switch up

Another tip you could use:

Hop on the rail and then move your feet back and forth on the rail. it will help you get centered on the rail and then you'll have the feeling of being able to control your feet on the rail. do that a couple times and then start doing front 2s like said before. I couldn't do switch ups until I learned how to do front 2s off.
