i have a question.. r switch ups hard cause ive been visualing how to do it and it doesnt seem that hard but can someone like explain/describe it?

u gotta hop, like dont lift one leg then the other leg , just hop and have ur head before u do it

Keep your eyes up. Your spin will come around correctly, instead of corked out, which will make you land off center and slide off.

for blindside go on like ur buttering then just pop

for natural switch up o suggest going on switch then carry momentum to switch up

yeah depends which way u are going. Frontside is easier. Not that hard just go for it. The first time i did one was on an dfd urban ledge. It was really easy you just have to go for it. Try it on the flat down of any kink and it will be easier.

Yea I agree^ I could never slide unnaty until I learned sw-ups and then I suddenly could slide unnaty. If you can visualize, you can do it. All in the shoulders. All in the shoulders.

all these people that say you need to be really good at sliding unnaty or full of it. Yes its true, being good at sliding unnaty will help but in my experiance at least when i learned 270s the day after i learned to slide a box i didnt even know what unnaty was and it felt no different.

ya that doesnt matter unless its like a flat down with a huge long down but otherwise no u dont need to b good at unnaturral

i feel like it mostly has to do with moving your shoulders, because then the rest of your body pretty much follows

yea there deifntly not as hard you would think wut i tried to do is almost over spin my spin on so that i have spin momentum going into the kink so that my body almost wants to do the switchup.

I dont know if any of thay made sense

for downhill switch up do a 270 out, but really early on the rail, for starters.  for uphill change up just do a 270 on but tap the rail, or set for a butter but pop a little

its eaisiest to do the rail swtich then switch up after you get on..that way momentum is in your favor.

rite now since its summer ive been doing a lotta visualizing and i feel like im gonna like kill myself next year cause when im vizualizing all this stuff it doesnt seem to hard lol

For frontside, get on normally, then grip the rail. Drop your leading ski's tail, drop your uphill ski's tip. have your shoulders facing the end of the rail. Once you are locked, pop dat shit and spin. Make sure you initiate the spin a little bit before you pop. Try not to pop off your heels, or else you will sliiiide of the rail when you land back on it. For backside, swing your arms when you are getting on, you it almost looks like you are going for a 270, or some sort of spin on the rail. Then just get on normally, and let your momentum move your shoulders to face the take off. When you can't hold your skis straight anymore, and you feel like you are gonna spin too far and do a switch nutting, hop and spin again. Dope shit.

a jump turn on to a sideways 50-50 railgrind to a half spin and you grind on your opposite side then do a jump turn out

blindside on boxes are the easiest to try first. jump onto the box and keep the spinning momentum going a little, and you basically jump and bring your body over, land, spot the end of the box after you switch up and youre good basically

normal switchups (frontside i guess), is techy, basically its the same thing as a 2 out, but its a 180 instead; dig ur ski and do a 180, for blindside just hop on more then 90 and hop and do the 180 for starters then once its ez do ur 90 on normal.
