I don't know if you've heard of www.thesixtyone.com (ryno created a thread on it a while ago) but I'm an artist on there.

The record company I'm talking to just notified me that they are in fact looking at my myspace page and my thesixtyone.com page to see what sort of traffic I get and to see whether I'd be profitable to record with. I have backup options but I really really want to get hooked up with these guys.

I want to be able to upload my entire CD onto there for everyone also to download (and buy later on) when I get everything recorded. What I need though is for you guys to sign up for www.thesixtyone.com and listen to/bump/add to your playlist my songs.

BASICALLY:

1) Sign up for www.thesixtyone.com

2) go to: http://www.thesixtyone.com/NGP/collection/all/

3) Play the songs over and over again, bump them if you can, download them if you like, and/or add them to your playlist.

It's not as easy as just clicking twice for voting, but you also access a huge database of up and coming artists of all genres. Many of the songs are free. Plus, you'll be supporting an NSer!

Thank you guys. Ryno has already helped me out a bunch and I give him major props for that. Now it's your turn! ++karma and whatnot will be given out.

bump...they're checking today as a checkpoint. I'm looking good as of now but in a month they want to see a lot of progress.

I'm alllll over it. All my bumpage points are gone..hope it helped : )

And that's a really sick site, by the way.

bump for the site and your songs.

and to everyone who visits, stick around after u bump up his songs. there's really good stuff on the site.

I appreciate it a lot guys. Thanks. I know it's not the best but once I actually record some decent stuff I'll re-upload and all that jazz.

I am REALLY digging this site. The instrumental section is so sick. And I LOVE how you can download what you listen to.

You've got a good thought process towards the lyrics but you do have some leveling issues. Also sometimes I can hear you clearing your throat in a very suttle way in a few of your songs, or your a bit of spit moving around. If you signed these problems will probably be resolved though.

well I'm not going to be signed per se

I'll just get the use of the studio for a very reduced price and if I don't get hooked up I have a neighbor with a studio in his basement that I can record a CD with for $100 or less haha

yeah. It costs less to bump a song on the home page and more to bump a song that's lesser known because if it blows up then you get helluva lot of points.

Yeah, it involves a whole bunch of variables... mainly revolving around listening/rating/bumping/adding music. You also get points for logging in daily, too. If you really want lots of points, start listening to the rack, turn the volume down/off, and just leave it playing. I'll be doing that, which = more points = more bumps for NGP

i referenced you and bumped 5 times. everyone should type in a reference when signing up so that other nsers can bump him more times. i used my ns name

I got on and threw all my bump points at you.

My login is MidwestMurd3r (I couldn't come up with anything so I used my xbox live gamertag)

Do you gain levels by collecting points, or is there another way? I can't bump NGP's songs more than 6 times each until I get up another level

I just put you as my referer so you should be getting some more points.

But is there a certain song we should focus on. I notice Rising Rhythm has the most points whatever the hell that means. Should I bump that with my points or all of your songs?

Thanks, I just noticed that. +++ Karma

From the FAQ, this is what you get when you refer friends:

"Inviting a friend (+20 points and +50 points for each level they achieve or +100 points per level if your friend is an artist)"

that site has some amazing artists. i no longer will have trouble finding music. these little pop ups are bugging the shit out of me.

"The record company I'm talking to just notified me that they

are in fact looking at my myspace page and my thesixtyone.com page to see what sort of traffic I get"

Should we be going to your Myspace page too?

I have so much new music in my library thanks to that site. A lot of it is free for download too. Awesome resource.

what do you mean? I can listen to one song and still browse around the site.

it just made me explorer go nuts.

but holy fuck i just got done with cruising that site. that shit is heavy.

just heard it, pretty decent !

Shined up by DJ Low is pretty good as well, it'll be going surfing with me next month...
