im really bummed out right now cus i def need surgery on my shoulder (laboral tear) and maybe hip surgery (i injured my hip flexor, but when it healed a section of bone got moved and if its pressing against my femoral neck im gonna need to hav surgery and maybe even if its not)

im still waiting on more info for the hip, but yeh, i really dont wanna be on the couch

Hey man, it sucks but its for the best. Seriously.

If you need the surgery, then take it. Repeated dislocations of your should is going to ruin your arm later in life unless you get it taken care of now. I had surgery after a violent dislocation, it was either that, or ruin my rotator cuff muscles and a have an even worse surgery down the road.

So getting it now might not be so bad, it could be a lot worse.

Also, you don't ever want to mess around with issues with your femoral neck. If anything drastic happened, you can damage your sciatic nerve or rupture one of your circumflex femoral arteries that supply the femur's head. And you don't want to do those things. If the docs say you should get surgery, its probably a good idea.

Good luck!

dude i had knee surgery 5 months ago and even tough it sucks, surgery is the best way to fix things. Dont worry about missing some of ski season, because in the long run it will pay off to have surgery

just went through my second surgery for my shoulder (bone graft, tendon reattachments). do the surgery trust me. you dont want to waste a season with a shoulder that dislocates everytime you land hard.
