well if it isnt all the way torn, they can like staple it back together, but if its completely torn, they have to take it out, which would suck, that means ill get arthritis.

^dude be prepared for feeling really shitty. I just had acl reconstruction literally a week ago. The first 2 days are really painful in ur knee and then the next two days ur really constipated from the narcotics in the painkillers.

Skiing isn't a matter of life and death. It's much more important than that!'

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later"

its worth it dude, I'm goin on my fourth knee surgery (3 for my acl on my right leg, and meniscus soon in the left leg), It's really not that big'a deal, it passes quickly. Good luck.

Money's clean cause we scrub it good. With guns and gasoline we're gonna save the world. Nothing's obscene if we only close our eyes, boys and girls, welcome to this Joyride. -dmb

I tore my meniscus doing a cork 7 mute and i needed surgery to stitch it back up. That was in april and I needed another surgery two days ago to tack a third of it out because it didn't heal. If you get your meniscus stitched up, be prepared to not ski for 4-6 months If they take it out, 4-6 weeks and you are full

Its not a big deal - take lots of meds.. lotsa luck with the back and PT PT PT physical therapy - dont' short cut it. it will be stronger than be fore ..

yeah PS2 got me through the rough start with mine....my knee still doesnt fell 100% but it felt 100% when i was in PT until they kicked me out....

there are some new micro-fracture techniques for menicus and cartildge damage...

cool shit but you cant be weight bearing for a month or so, which sucks

thats why i said 100%. 100% means the likeliness of it tearing it again is the same as before you had the surgery. i'm 3 months out of surgery, probably somewhere at 50-75% but i can still do everything (run, bike, skate, etc.) but the difference is that its more likely that i'll tear it now than if i wait a few more months and rehab/strengthen it some more.

i guess what i'm trying to say is that anyone can go back to their normal sports after a few months with intense PT, but the reality is that it won't be completely normal until a year or more has passed.
