gimme some visual ideas for my surfboard that i want to paint. i already got some, but i would like some of your ideas.

word. im dead terrified. my g parents live in the VI's and every time i go to visit my family scuba dives, and i piss myself everytime, and wuss out. i have so many nightmares of those bitches. i would never surf for this reason
 
sharks are freakin awesome, just make sure you aren't bleeding. that would suck fo sho. here in tampa we have huge hammers and bulls. it's crazy.
 
well skis would look weird. But how bout a snowboard complete with bindings and what not. I always wanted a fish painted like an RAF spitfire. Also what type of board are we talking about here?

i kno, but did you know that miami has the biggest ski club in the world? lol. it doesn't really mean anything but it's kinda cool. and the only place where i have met glen plake twice is at the hilton in ft lauderdale. but i'm a good skier, i can keep up with yal.

anyway, my board is 6'4" and it's a quiet flight board. just thought i would throw that out there.
 
if by that you mean the university, then you are quite mistaken. the university of colorado at boulder currently holds the titles of biggest collegiate club
 
ive always wanted to paint one of my boards, what kind of paint/marker do you use???? ive heard like a certain kind of permant marker works
 
Did you shape your own board? I shaped my last board, i made a fish it was ill, i painted a black sky with orange wazes and a big trippy sun, hard to explain but ill get some pics of it when i go back to my beach house
 
im not an artist or even close to one, but i'd suggest just keeping it simple. I can't even really suggest anything, but don't over do it with too much. maybe just some simply lines and little desgins.

nothing too dark for heat reasons, but other than that, just have fun and post pics when you're done.
 
my friends and i all paint our boards before one specific surf contest and usually do mermaids on the nose of our boards with our names in olde english.

i have a few boards with these really sick swirls and dots in slanted stripes on the bottom of them.

I have another one i won at a contest thats got New Zealand aboriginal designs on it, its so sick. the whole board is this rust color with these insane dot designs. i love it but its a shitty board. bad shape and horrible size, but its pretty.

 
take some liquid dish soap and like draw some sqiggles and shit on ur board. then take some spraypaint and spray over it. wash the board off and the designs under the soap stay white (color of ur board) and the spray paint is all around it. it looks proffesional no joke.
 
i really liked one of the al's on CI's website, i forget who it was, but it had jimmy hendrix airbrushed on it, either that or the infamous picture of Bob lighting up

while we're on the topic, anyone get to surf on christmas or new years? i wanted to go on christmas eve but it was just awful, and now that i got new gloves i just wanna go.
 
i kind of learned how to surf last summer, and i really wanted to pick it up this year cause i had the opportunity to spend a lot of time at the shore. but knees fucking ruined that... oh well, always next year i guess.

i remember someone posting some pretty sick boards on here a while back. papasteeze maybe?
 
1) miami as in miami the city, not the university.

2) what would be most simple way of making my board all white? right now it's stuck in the 90's.

4) sharpie i think makes like a water based marker.

3) i was actually thinking about putting the periodic table of elements on there lol. or maybe put like dihydrogen monoxide and put like a hazardous logo thing on it. (i hope you all got that dihydrogen monoxide thing lol)

i'm trying to stay away from spray paint, but if it comes to it then heck yea!

i was also thinkin about the snow factor, SURF & SNOWY TURF!

and maybe a trippy wavy black and white guitar that stretches from under the potrait to tail. that would be pretty sick
