SURFACE One life sizing?

they come in lengths 179 and 189 but with the rocker they will ski shorterim not completely sure on which size to get if ill with em all year longjumpspowall mountain
i am about 140 lbs.and about 5'5"

I'm 5'7'' and I ride the 179s! They slay the Pow. When you get them on hard pack/groomers they do ski like a a really short ski. I would say a 189 would be a lot of ski for us, but it's your preference. I have this helps
 
I would say 179 unless you forsee a growth spurt. Or if you have insane strength 189 but at your height 179. I have the 189s and I love them!

Alight I am quite a bit taller than you, it doesn't make much sense for me to post.

Go with the 179's, you'll be fine. Plus it's awfully stiff.
 
bump this thread, i need help choosing between them also. im 5'8-9" and 150lbs. ill be using these mostly throughout the midwest and once or twice a year out west. only reason im debating the 189's is because when i do get out west i want a bigger ski for pow. otherwise the midwest consists of mostly jibs/ park and the 179's will be fine.

help me choose, will i be fine riding 179's in the pow, will i be able to charge with them still?
 
how about you use your fucking head and not buy surfaces.... they suck big juicy ass holes. When you can snap a brand new pair of skis with your hands it's time to run the other direction
 
you will be fine on 179's, but 189's will give you a longer running surface on the snow which might be helpful
 
show me evidence besides big spence... honestly, surface has been the best to me so far. very personable people who are quick to answer questions, and great customer service. as far as their skis go i have never ridden them so i cant say but from what i have heard they are exceptionally well built skis, that perform even better
 
i would get the 189's i just dont want a ski that is going to be a foot taller than me, it would be ridiculous to ski something like that around where i live. i want a ski that is right above my eyes/ top of my head level.
 
dont be afraid that the skis are almost a foot taller than you, its when you get on the snow that matters. if you are doing a lot of rails get 179s, but beware that they ski ridiculously short.
 
im about 5,6/5,7 and ride the 85 ep pros
i must say rockered pow skis are very responsive but i would go with 179 for a better fit
but on a longer ski i can still spin and butter in the pow so its really no big deal
however 89 would be a little bit of overkill
 
thanks for all the input guys, i think im gonna go with the 179's. if they are too short for charging and pow, well then i guess ill have to save some more and buy some bigger skis
