Surface Nine Life edge issue...

i really don't know a whole lot about edge's and bases, but i'm wondering how big of an issue this is. i just noticed that a small piece of edge is missing underfoot on my right ski (my lead foot on rails). the edge is almost completely rounded over from grinding considering it's what i mainly do here in shitty wisconsin. is this a big deal? what should i do about it? i guess the only thing i've thought to do is switch my skis from left to right so the other ski can start to get beat down.

Jesus those bases.. Anyway shops can replace/ glue an edge back into the hole but it usually don't hold in for very long. It's also pretty small so I wouldn't worry about it too much, you could switch skis if you wanted but I mean what is done is done. It should be expected after however long of rail use, and if not expected a least known that it can happen.

yes ik the bases are atrocious lol, but thanks for the feedback, i think i'll just switch the skis around so it won't lead to much further damage of that spot.

i dont think it would even be worth it to fix the edge. just ski with it as your outside edge so you arent using to scissor. can you even move with those bases?

lol it's only like that right underfoot, the rest is fine, but thanks for the advice.
