So my friend can get me a great deal on all Surface Skis. I decided on the New Lifes and then i was told about the One Lifes. Which ones should i get? Any suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks!

Henry

I have the 189 one lifes and enjoy them a lot. They are light, playful, pretty stiff. The three stage rocker is kinda goofy and isn't the best carving turns on groomers. but they are actually very versatile. they can shred anything and are super fun. I have never ridden the new lifes but im sure they are fun as well, just not quite as versatile as the one life is.

The One Life would make a good all mountain/big mountain charging ski. I loved mine. It was my one ski quiver. I used to live in Golden, and skied Kicking Horse. The terrain is pretty steep in some places. If you like charging all the time, get the One Life. Like stated, it's a really stiff ski.

The New Life would be more orientated for a powder ski. The kind of ski you would take out when it's really deep. Bit softer than the One Life, not as big of a rocker. Would be great for playing around in the deep snow.

that's super lame of you to claim getting a hookup, just something you dont do.

but, what are you going to use them for? I had a bunch of fun on the New Lifes when I demoed them the other day.

Also another note, apparently Surface is out of all powder skis except for the 174 New Lifes in both graphics.

One lifes are really fun, you could use them pretty much anywhere. I looked at new lifes and the main differences I noticed were that the new life has no camber, is softer, wider, and symmetrical. Both would probably be great choices

I've had both and prefer the New Life. Both are still the best skis I've ever ridden on by far. Super fun and poppy. You really couldn't go wrong with either. They both charge, are fun in all conditions. The OL is a little more nimble and stiffer, whereas the NL is a smoother, more buttery ride.

you really shouldn't exploit resources and ski companies like that. Especially the good people at Surface. It's frowned upon in the community.

I'm not going to be your mother here, feel free to do what you want. I'm just saying, it's not something I would do.

And like I said, unless you've confirmed with Surface that you can get some powder skis this year from them, good luck.

I went to order some One Lifes last month, no luck, all out.

I didn't mean for you to feel like an asshole. But your friend probably worked to get that pro form, and you could just be using it.

Don't look down in the gutters just yet though, it's a long ways from next season still. Make up a portfolio for yourself, submit it to Surface and other companies. Get yourself out there, and work for those skis!

Awesome!! When David calls in to pro-form skis I will make sure to charge him full retail! Sorry guys the pro-form process is for shop employees or kids we choose to put on grassroots and help them out!

Please do not abuse this process.. We are small brand and genuinely sacrifice resources to try and help those deserving... Don't Ruin it for everyone else!

does anyone know the running lenght of the 179 one lifes vs 174 new lifes? i'm guessing the one lifes ski much shorter b/c of the more pronounced rocker?

I know the running length on the 189 One Life is 90 cm. with 50 cm of tip and 50 cm of tail.

So, I'd imagine that the 179 is 90 cm with 45 cm of tip and 45 cm of tail?
