Surface New Life?

I've been lookin in to gettin powder skis. So far i've been looking at EP Pros and bents, but I'm starting to think those might be a little too soft for crud and tracked up pow. I just saw the New Life's on the Surface website and they look pretty sick. So I have a couple of questions:

Are the New Lifes burly enough to destroy more adverse conditions but still pretty playful? Are they halfway decent on harder snow (good enough to get me back to the lift on powder days)? Also has surface fixed those durability issues? Which one of these skis would you recommend for me?

I'm 5'8, 135 lbs, and an expert skier. I ski around colorado, mostly breck, but i would use these skis as a pure powder/ backcountry jib ski.

Any other opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

174 New Life. Super super fun. Tougher than the EP's and Bent's, but they're not going to beat you up. Has a bit of camber underfoot too so getting around on the hard pack is no proble

I feel like the only durability issues seemed to be with the nine lifes..I had new lifes last year and they held up very well.. I skied them everywhere from pow to rails and never had a problem. I did get one edge dent, but I did a million taps, so it was my fault..very sturdy ski.

Thanks for the help guys, definitely throwin New Lifes into the mix. They sound sick! But one more question are the Anthony B New life's any different from normal new lifes besides the graphics?

pretty sure its just the graphics. and the skis are very well made, durability wise theyre solid.

I went back and forth on whether or not to pick a pair of 184's last season, but in the end the boss at Surface reminded me that due to the rocker they will ski "shorter" than a normal 184cm ski. I was used to a K2 179cm which measures more like a 185 and so although I was torn on whether or not to pull the trigger, I do not regret it at all. They do in fact ski shorter than I was used to. Had I waited until this year and gone with the 174's I am confident that I would have made a mistake. I am 5'10" and a burley 200lbs. I skied them at Mammoth in Feb -- good snow coverage, but no fresh snow. Either way you will not be dissapointed -- the rocker has changed my approach to skiing the mountain ::
