Support The Hood Crew (The Death of DVD's)

Let me start out by saying that we're not selling DVD's to deliberately try and profit off of the freeski community. After having made movies for years that were only available online, I wanted to change things up last year by selling physical copies of "Thirsty." The DVD's were well received and the purpose was to get as many packages out as possible so the film could be watched in a more social environment before we released it online.

With iTunes downloads and the excess of Internet content, videos easily get jumbled together in a media mix that encourages short attention spans and a desire to always seek out something new. The rationale behind distributing DVD's is to take a step back from this hyper-stimulated media culture and alternatively encourage viewers to watch our film on a TV in the company of friends and family.

We've worked hard to support our fans and now we would like to ask for some support in return. Last year, we shipped out almost 100 free "Thirsty" packages with our profits and threw an open-bar SLC premiere. We would love to do the same thing this year with shipping out free packages and giving back to the community but we can't do so without a bit more support on your part.

I'm sure there are tons of you who have considered purchasing The Boolers Ball but haven't taken the extra initiative to do so. To everyone who has already received the movie, post up in this thread and let others know if you were satisfied with your purchase or not.

We want to get The Boolers Ball out to as many people as possible without just throwing it online into the abundant mix of web videos. If you ordered/ received a gratuity "Thirsty" package last year and enjoyed what you saw, support us again this year. If you have been contemplating ordering The Boolers Ball but need some extra motivation to do so, we'll offer a money-back guarantee if you are unsatisfied with your purchase.

This will likely be the last freeski DVD that you ever own but it will hopefully be one that you keep for years to come. Help us continue to promote altruism in freeskiing. Thanks for your ongoing support. Much love!

- Freed

Can personally vouch for the quality of the movie. Just got it yesterday and I must say I love everything THC puts out and The Boolers Ball is no different. Every shot is super legit and gnarly as all hell. If you want to see some seriously lit skiing and partying then pick up a copy of The Boolers Ball today and be sure to pay the extra $2 for the ignant stickers and tattoos to put all over your flabongos and side hoes.

I'll pick up a DVD tonight! At hood this summer Scrappy gave my friend a copy of some random Hoodcrew videos and it was the funniest thing I have ever seen.

There are essentially an additional two movies in the bonus features. If you haven't bought this yet then I don't know what you're doing

The Boolers Ball was fantastic and everyone should get one. No one can make a ski film quite like the Hood Crew. I know I'm gonna be watching my Hood Crew movies when I am a retired old man.

I bought it & watch it every time I wax my skis. As usual, the music & editing are beyond on-point, and the riding is fucking filthy. The Kid's segment is my favorite thanks to the tune & the headlamp wall-flex shot, but there's no denying that Briggs went nuts last season... his segment is out of control... like an underground classic or something. Everyone also really stepped up in terms of skiing on shit other than snow, so there's no lack of progressive footage.

Not to mention the whole DVD thing is an attempt at bringing in some of the feeling from the early days of newschool skiing, which this crew captures more than anyone out there at the moment.

I keep trying to buy it but dromas charged my card and it keeps saying my fucking zip code is wrong and I know its 100% right. I emailed the guy tho so waiting on a reply.

The first one he sent was to have me come complete my order and my copy has been reserved so im stoked I just need it to fucking ship.

It's too littt, dope, and steezy! I've probably watched the Boolers ball about 5 times since I got a copy, and it just gets better every time. Straight heat from one of the illest crews. Also, totally worth an extra few bucks to get some wild stickers/temp tats. Gotta love a thuggin shreddin marshmallow.
