Support Artist who support Skiing

My father was a law enforcement officer.

I don't support people who support hate, or violence on groups of people based on generalizations.

This only proves that he didn't listen to the music. I

only make intelligent references. Killing season is built off of animosity. Do

to the feeling of being overlooked and generalized by some. Peep the catalog.

I've been doing this for years and never have been characterized as

"ignorant". Am I insulted...nah...just making a point. I have album

reviews on this very site so, I'm good!

I enjoy hearing the opinions regardless on if I agree

with them or not so this is cool. "Killing Season" is a conceptual

album with a very sarcastic twist. It is intentionally cocky, brash and witty

as it stands to mock a lot of what you’re talking about in hip-hip. Notice the

Looney Tunes cover and the Looney Tunes skits throughout the project. I am in

no way hypocritical as a matter of fact that's why I have been accepted because

people know I am who I am. This project is built on songs such as

"Annoying" and "Birfday" which aim to aggravate only to

reflect the aggravation which I felt as an artist in 2011. Now if you take the

time to listen to any of my albums "Genre" which sold over 10,000

thanks heavily to my freeski supporters so thank you. "White Noise"

which got me sponsors etc. These projects showcase my life and who I am as

opposed to an album whose entire concept is to exaggerate and showcase the

exact ignorance which you speak of. As for as street life and how many people I

have shot and so on it just so happens I am from what would be known as the

"hood" but I've seen enough crime and death within my own family that

I don't need to glorify because I lived it and its not pretty. But thank you

for your input.

Go ahead and re-read the lyrics you wrote for "Here Piggy Piggy" and then tell me you "Don't support none of that".

You might hate the generalizations that a lot of cops, especially those in bigger cities make about people living in certain neighborhoods or people with that aren't white. I know that it's a problem, and I know that it's fucked up.

However, making the generalization that cops are all out to get you and then making music which tells stories of killing them is doing exactly the same thing that you are so against - making and acting on generalizations that leads to oppression or harm.

In fact, doing just that is perpetuating the stereotype you hate, and the reason that police officers in large cities generalize groups of people and people from certain neighborhoods, effectively fucking any chance for changing those perceptions.

For those of you that don't want to sit through the whole song but want to know what I'm talking about:

"Cops pull me over 'cause I'm black, no per se.

Was I speedin' officer? Is it because I'm black?

Was I weeded officer? Is it because I'm black?

I'm not intoxicated officer, is it because I'm black?

And he replied 'no n***a, it's because you rap'

and in response to that I grabbed his gat, cocked it back,

told him he's the mixture of a pig, and an ugly rat...

You stand behind your badge right?

I ripped it off his chest, stabbed it in his eyeball and fed him twelve midols.

Made him drink pine-sol,

he's beggin for his life,

and right before he died he asked 'is it cause I'm white?'

'No, you're a cop'"

I don't support police violence, I don't support hate based on racial discrimination - but I also don't support violence against police or assuming that law enforcement officers are out to get you, or killing people, for that matter.

^ 2 things -

first you're assuming I like that song or support it's message. Which I don't.

Second, I can't exactly call up NWA and tell them about what I feel about it. Jared came here and presented his music to us, asking us to support it. I voiced my opinion because he's going to hear it.

NWA, at the time they were all alive / actually hard would have probably fucked anyone's day up who voiced such an opinion, luckily Jared is actually a cool guy and able to digest critique reasonably.

I don't agree to the severity of NWA's message of F the

Police what I must state is that "Killing Season" is an album of

sarcasm. Did the verse go too far yes, would I kill a cop no, did I say it for

shock value yes, do I get discriminated on because I'm black by police yes, do

I believe all officers are "pigs" no BUT some are. I feel like if the

shoe doesn't fit don't wear it. If your family are straight law enforcement

officers and not crooked then this does not pertain to them. If they were

aiming to incarcerate a specific race like they do in my neighborhood then I

would call them "pigs." This album was built to not just say

something but to really get your attention when it’s said. I HATE

discrimination and apologize if I offended you but some of these cops are just

pure wrong!

I definitely feel you, there's tons of shitty cops. I lived in a small town, so I knew all the Highway patrol, all the Sheriffs, all the Police officers. Some of them were downright shitheads. Now I live in SLC and have to deal with all the "Returned missionaries on power trips" (Quoted from one of the Sergeants).

At the same time, I know plenty of the guys that are honest and work their job with integrity befitting the position.

It's fucked, and it needs to be changed, however if you write a song about it that isn't obviously and intelligently presented as commentary, it will always be overlooked as another rap about hating police, just like all the other raps about hating police. The theme of hating on police in hip hop is perpetual that unless you present it in a different light, there's a whole body of work from other artists that are supporting your work (which, of course, is also unfortunate)

Thanks for coming on and backing up your work, it's cool to see that you're down to earth and conscious of what you're putting out there.

No problem brother. Honestly I need your support its only right that I back up what I preach.
