SUPERUNKNOWN III - get your submissions in!

well, true, these kids are already sponsored, but thats not the point, in this day and age, skiers arent nearly as abel to come out of the blue.

case in point, ahmet,

he is one of the most talented kids i ski with, yet, he has not won a big contest, nor been in any videos widely seen( bogart kinda but people knew well of him before that). Without newschoolers, i do not think many of you would know of him.

superunknown is not supposed to take your pretty good johnny homeotwn hero and give him hookups( in my humble opinion), its supposed to take the best of those not in the top echelon of skiers and propel them there.

that being, my prediction,( if he has filmed much jumps and stuff since lsat year,)is lj, one of the most talented(if not the most) i have skied with.

that being said, there is a hell of a lot of kids i have not had the chance to ski with.
 
it's like the young gun open except in my opinion better because it's not what u can do on the spot. don't get me wrong competition is a very big part of becoming well know and stuff but if the best one there has an off day u'll never even know. if u put together a segment and it's easier to see what u can do and if u have the potential they'll know. also i realize they can also tell if u have potential at the young gun open as well as other contests but this way in my opinion is better because they'll want someone who'd help sell their video and not just win contests all the time. level 1 seems to have the best movies and u don't see tanner hall and jon olson in them. ahmet and ian should be able to enter as well as other kids who are ams because this will put them on the path they deserve to be on and give them the opportunities they deserve but don't always get as ams.
 
im not saying your a big pro but your hooked with ninthward im not doing it this year just i think its gonna be harder when guys like you are in it, but what ever im a fool
 
^I don't think it matters if you have a material sponsor.

if you're signed with a company, then I don't think you should be aloud to enter the contest.
 
The contest should be open to girls and boys (and is, as far as I understand). If the most progressive and eye opening vid happens to be a girls then they should win respectfully. One step closer to evening the ratio...
 
well i think whatever makes the ebt movie...i would rather see a guy in a movie that pumps me up and is super progressive than a girls part that is progressive for girls but not that good for guys. they should def have a chance for girls tho
 
i overheard a couple of skiers in the lift line who wearing dresses, they said somebody named tee ball won this contest a few years ago? can anyone confirm?
 
jjjyeahhh right. I though the same as the other guy.
Michael Clarke was my favorite Superunknown.Kid who won last winter is Ill doo.
