Superman timing

So I've been doing frontflips a while now, but I've never thrown a superman in or done one off more than a 30ish foot jump...I think mainly because I'm scared I'll either over or underrotate. Any advice on timing for these things or do I basically just need to feel it out? When to stop the superman? How to time your flip on bigger jumps?

I haven't done them on skis, but on a tramp as far as a tramp goes, you don't need to worry about over rotating if you actually get the superman part stretched out nicely. Start with just front flips with a little extension a the beginning and superman for more time each jump until you feel comfortable
 
On small jumps tuck real fast after stretching out, on big jumps, i find you can stretch out a lot longer than you'd think. I actually overrotated a bunch of times and ate complete shit
