Anyone play competitive smash bros? Anyone looking forward to the Sm4sh announcement at E3?

if not let this die

Heading over to Stepp's house now to spike that stupid, yellow rat's face in... or that leather-wearing, gaping asshole Falcon.

Also the Luigi triple jump trick is a fun challenge to do all the way around Fox's spaceship.

whaaat?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

and you kids are all so stupid for thinking N64 is better than either of the others. just so very, very stupid and naiive and hipsters and just very stupid all around

melee's easily the best. 64 is dope as hell. brawl is a shitshow.

i currently have a little 14" tv set up right under my giant 60+" so i can play melee while watching netflix. and i got a brand new white controller in the mail. so many stokens.

Melee is unreal. Still love playing that, especially when you can gather up 4 guys that can all play well

N64 is fun as fuck, but im glad someone finally sacked up and said its not the best., melee takes that title. Brawl was just to much. Haha. No need to make a simple game that ridiculous.

Obviously someone doesn't know shit about competitive gaming... rule 1: the more simple a game is, the more skill is involved to be better than someone else at it.

i can't stand 4 player anymore. there's nothing i hate more than setting up an awesome combo just to have someone walk over as marth and fsmash me then steal my kill

call me a horsebanging skank, but am i really that stupid for liking SSBB more than the n64 version who is obviously a classic and also a good game?

C stick only when xtreme quickness is required. often with a Fox up kick when its coming down to it and dude has over 60%.

a major reason why melee>n64 is that there are more attack options. ie. 'smash'es

I may be biased since my Melee was one of the earliest games I played, but I think it's the best.

All my friends are assholes though who play brawl with no items on final destination. Only advantage brawl has is the single player campaign thingy, the combat itself feels slow and shit compared to Melee.

the ability to reset in the air is what makes me like it.

also: 3 of my 4 best characters are brawl exclusive. (diddy, lucas, olimar)

but yeah we still play at Corneria for any legit match and fox is still my best

clearly you need to learn to move your fingers quicker hahaha. actually though i dont personally mind it once and a while, but when you hear that distinct *clack* *clack* *clack* with the corresponding smash attack on screen, for the whole match, dont be surprised if i slap you after i make sure you get your ass handed to you

Yeah, the one beef I have with Melee is the fact that air dodges make you lose your jump and up-b. Otherwise, shit's tight. Same with the character issue here too - Lucas, Toon Link and Ike are all up there for me.

This is the problem. Kids too young to have started with n64 smash just have no understanding of how much cleaner the dynamics of that game are. Its just such a cleaner game, where characters advantages are not dulled down to make gameplay more fair. The result is that in 64, some characters suck, and some are unstoppable like kirby and ness. Even so, i could thrash pretty much anyone with dk

I was with you up until you said Ness is unstoppable... he has the best spike and one of the best tosses but he's pretty terrible otherwise. His triple jump leaves you floating in the air for seconds just waiting to get hit. Not to mention his triple jump recovery is fucking slooow
