Just want to see what everybody thought of the size of that pipe. It seemed to be like 15' and im sure it was 18' but just a weird shape. I think the only reason we dont have 22' walls is because the snowboarders cant use them, which is bull shit! skiing should have its own 22' and build another one thats 18' if the boarders dont want to go big. Except Andy Finch he can ride the 22'
 
breck has the best pipe in the world, and has been for many years. The park crew there is so legit...I was sitting down with matt margretts, jossi, byron and LJ for lunch yesterday and they were saying that brecks park and pipe will be the best in country no doubt just cause of the people that work on it...

Claim on the lunch part, but there were no seats left in the lodge except for my friends and I. So they just sat with us...FYI Matt Margretts and LJ are the nicest guys ever... Jossi was pissed that he didn't get first to cause Bobby only threw all right side hits. I rode the bus to the parking lot with his brother and his dad and he seemed to be in some pain with his knee. He bitched at byron to carry his skis ha.. But yea, Margretts straight up told Jossi that Bobby deserved it though cause of the two doubles...
 
I didn't think Breck had a 22 foot pipe cutter, unless they got one this year. But it was fully 18 or 19 looking.
 
i thought the pipe looked "small" too, but it might be because of the conditions. The skiers weren't going as big as they did at last year's X-games, but i guess that will improve as the season goes on.
 
The walls are fine they were a good 18 feet it just seemed short. They only got 5 hits as opposed to the 7 hits at X Games, and lots of people seemed to run out of pipe on their 5th hit
 
Did you really just say that snowboarders can't use a 22 foot pipe?
Torino Olympics, World Superpipe Champs in Park City, Calgary World Cup, Stoneham, etc, etc are all major snowboard events in 22 foot pipes, and those guys kill it.
Shit, last year at WSC in Park City, Kelly Clark (snowboard girl) was going bigger than half of the skier guys.
And the Breck pipe was good, even though it wasn't 22.
 
yeah if you watch jon's videoblog jossi says "the judges put me second" haha he clearly thought he deserved the win even though bobby brown pwned him.

It amazes me how jossi can still rip with a fuct up knee... guess that's what happens when u're 17... or however young he is...
 
thanks dude. It was sick cause the place was crawling with pros ha. I talked to Oscar for 15min. about his prelim runs, he's really down to earth. Then after finals my feet were had absoultly no feeling so i went inside a found a table with some empty seats(the lodge was really packed) so i just grabbed those chairs. Then after we sat down all the pros came in and sat at our table. I had Margretts, Sterino, Jossi, Byron and Dumont at my table. Dumont didnt say much cause he was pissed(he looked like he was bout to cry) but then PK and Walker sat at the table across from mine..So i talked to a good amount of pros in one day.
 
B-Rent droppin claims like none other hahaha. and no hate dude i would be too if i had just met like every major pro today haha.
 
Xgames pipe is ridiculously long, it's the only pipe in the world the top riders are gonna be getting 7 hits in. Although I think it's sick to have a pipe that long, it's super tough to maintain. the other thing is it's very difficult to throw down a clean 7 hit run, it's hard enough to throw a clean 4 or 5 hit run, and I think it's good to have a pipe like that for Xgames, it clearly distinguishes who can really slay the pipe, but to have a pipe like that at every event would get frustrating just to watch, way too many people would have issues laying down full runs.

That's just my opinion, I personally think 5 hits is the perfect pipe run for most situations, although more hits let you show more diversity, so it's good to have a longer pipe at some events
 
becks park crew has been slacking mayjor ass this year. idk if you can claim that. sadly key is destroying.

oh and the pipe is deff not 15. its big as fawk.
 
ya jossi was kindof being a little girl about the whole thing....bobby threw two doubles, he didn't. also, he landed way backseat on his second hit, bobby had clean landings the whole way through

but really props to bobby, and the pipe looked as big as any normal comp pipe to me. just a bit shorter, i think if simon didnt run out of room he could have gotten a podium spot
