Sunday River this weekend.

do want the river to open. My guess is either halloween weekend or the weekend after..last year they didn't announce a planned opening weekend..so hopefully they just spontaneiously open up again this year and surprise us all
 
i check this everyday and i am now with almost certainty telling you Sunday River will be open for skiing next weekend.

the updated forcast is calling for 8 inches on the summit from wednesday night through thrusday. And lots of cold temps will make for primo snowmaking conditions.

might be heading up for opening weekend stokeeeee to the maximum. what kind of park do they usually have opening day? i know its usually t2 that they open so i assume its something little on their, but anythings gonna be awesome cause its REAL SKIING ON REAL SNOW ON REAL MOUNTAINS instead of the summer seshing that has been going on
 
last year there was-

a low flat bar rail

a down flat down box

a low short hand rail

a tall shitty take off flat box

and maybe one or two other things on the second weekend open. Im pretty sure opening weekend they had the low flatbar and the box.
 
2nd day open last year they had a signle barrel down urban rail and a flat bar. maybe something else i dont remember.
 
rumor has it they are "unexpectedly" opening this weekend. however I have my doubts and agree with you. IMO they wont be open until next weekend.

on a side note, how/where do we hear if they are open or not? cause im not driving 3 hours to find an unopened ski resort on saturday.
 
Thats because they "opened" on a thursday i think as soon as they got enough snow. It was "open" but really only people in the immediate area and employees got to ride, lifts started spinning at like 1:30 or so i believe. But i could be wrong
 
Yeah that does sound right. But still Nobody even knew they were even blowing snow it semeed like and then bam they were open.
 
yeah, last year they opened spontaneously like they do in years past. Usually they open at like 1:30 so really only employees and people living in bethel get to ski, and then open the next day regular times. That's what has happened the past three years. I expect thursday/friday.

Better be fucking skiing on halloween
 
Snow will be the bigger session for the better cause, Killy will have better snow. Sunday River is just where the kids who love the place are guna go. Like myself, and Snow is 5 hours, Killy is 4 hours, and River is 1 hour lolz

mt snow was a fucking mob scene, still dope, but a mob scene. kinda wishing i made the choice to ski SR instead.

and fuck the fact that i missed free wings..
 
3-5 at the brewery down the road from SR. last year it was every saturday but idk about this year. free bacon-cheese potato skins aswell.
