Started blowing on T2 this morning. I dont know if it was just a test or if its the real deal, but either way it means opening day is around the corner. Get stoked.

Beat me to it. I was just about to post that. Such a good way to start off my morning haha. They should be able to make it over night too, it's supposed to be below freezing

exactly.... well and to get the ground a little colder just so itll be easier to make snow when those temps arive

I'm so excited! They aren't blowing snow today though..so I'm guessing it was just a test or beginning to start snowmaking. so pumpedd

They have pictures of more snowmaking from this morning. And the guns were making snow in South Ridge which was interesting. Maybe they're trying to get the chondola for close to opening day?

Well its starting to get frosty here in Vermont at night, and i didnt mean "exactly two weeks" it was more of "are they trying to get open before halloween"

however if the air compressors arnt in yet i guess this is all hear say.

Promo-snow. You can tell by the video that they were rocking primarily air in the mixture with very little water thrown in. There was little to no snow and the equivalent netted the result of a strong frost.

Likely looking to capitalize on the crowds in town for the fall festivities and their pass deadline is tomorrow too. Get a little buzz going, which is working for them.

As for K, I know they want to get this season going. As soon as things are favorable for them to pop the valves on the guns, they will. Don't expect a marketing blow though. When they fire-up, it will be them going for open. Lines have been tested last week. Haven't seen the compressors around, but also haven't looked for them in particular, so they may be up.

Lots of factors in the early season to snowmaking too. You have warm water temps currently compared to average which results in longer freeze times for the droplets. Humidity is also a major factor. Ground temps are also running a little above as we are coming out of a stretch of above average temperatures.

Time will come though, and it's a good sign that someone is blowing their system some!

i heard a rumor from a snowboarding friend that they r gunna try to open with T2 and a flat box this weekend...anyone know anything... im really itching for snow

I dont know anything for sure, but i think at this point, if they can open they will. I kinda doubt it will happen to be honest, but if its at all possible, i think they are gonna go for it. They opened the 14th last year and i'm sure if it was possible to get close to that again they wouldnt pass on the opportunity.

k sounds good but i looked on there page and it didnt say anything about snowmaking the last 2 days or if they will soon so i dont think it will happen... just got a little excited and had to post haha
