Sunburst 2011

Yes, it's being built out today, and should be open tomorrow.

Kyle's learning how to push snow in the old Piston Bully and Robby is sculpting with the new Park Bully in Sprecher. Hopefully with more snow, black forest will have the hip and or quarterpipe thanks to the ability of the tiller and blade to reach new heights!
 
It was the small jump up top, and then the middle stepdown jump, which was decent, i liked it. It kinda has a hard landing right now though. And then the last jump, which was terribly designed, bigger, but no pop and you had to bomb the whole hill just to clear it. Then also the rainbow rail beside the last jump.
 
Gotta love the grooming of the park, skip the landings and takeoffs and groom around the piles!

Robby's back thursday night thankfully with a rebuild! Proper angles, takeoffs and distance between hits will all be considered as he'll actually have time to concentrate on sprecher this time.

Let's hope it works because he's gone all of x-mas break:-(
 
i'm going up one night this week to ride around with john then i will be good to go to work. Its been awhile since i have been in a PB let alone a park bully. wilmot only had a old BR275.
 
Hey All

This is my first year at Sunburst as stated earlier in this thread and all I can say is what more can you ask for before christmas. As for some naysayers hear what do you have to complain about? Evidently you don't have the skills to build a park otherwise YOU would probally work there. Instead of ripping on what others do to make your life enjoyable think for a second what life would be like if you didn't have an area that suppoerted our sport, i.e. late 80's early 90's.

I hope everyone enjoys the steeper landings (28) degrees and can now flow nicely through all three jumps.

If anyone knows the groomers, we need their help to keep the landings this steep by pushing, with the blade, snow back UP the landing slope every night.

Thank you Mr. Engel for the park bully and Robby for having the skill set to take advantage of it!

O.K. saw it for the first time on Friday the 24th who ever groomed did a shoody job. But I'll chalk it up to being in a hurry, it's the day before Christmas for crying out loud. Thank you again to Sunburst for the effort they put in to make my life more enjoyable.
 
the hip thing at the end of sprecher is pointless. snow should be used for the jump on blackforest, otherwise the jumps are nice.
 
super sick setup, did my first 4's out yesterday. ill be there friday night and saturday morning/day.
 
Okay. If you see me taking pictures just come over by me and let me know. Im not sure what time il be going out there yet though
 
Sunburst needs to build a big jump on black forest soon the jump on Sprecher is sick but not double able. dam. otherwise where are all the rails? I swear sunburst come on its dec this year but it could be so much better.
 
Can we get a true snow report on the park?

I'm guessing with all the warm weather they desperately need a rebuild. Robby's 3 week hiatus is over Thursday.
