Sun Peaks Park info

im going up there fro some of my holiday and i was wonder if there is a park there and what kinda stuff is there or when will it be up and ruining?

today was the first day we had something of a park, its just the blue park, really small 10 foot table, then a 25-30 foot spine that works good when you clear the whole thing, a couple small rails or boxes, there is a massive amount of snow in the black park which is currently getting built, there is an excavator and a cat going full tilt to get it up and ready, i would say a week to go before its up, even the half pipe is being worked on, sun peaks looks like they fibally got there head in the game and starting to do something with the park, it should be sick by the time you get here in the holidays

how is it up there now, did it rain at all? i'll prolly be up there 28-30, maybe filmin a bit,, it'd be cool to ride with and get shown around the hill by some local rippers,,,

soundin like fun, i'm most likely gonna hit up sun peaks tomorrow, i'll be on my 06 arvs with a grey/red ripzone jacket, black burton pants, and a red helmet with DNA and LINE stickers on it. oh, and old school uvex goggles lol, i ran out of money.
 
Sun Peaks only has 4 jumps but they are pretty big. The first one is about 30ft, the second is under construction, the third is 60ft step down and the last is about 65-70ft and it is sooo smooth. The last one has a nice set up jump before it too. For rails we have a 30ft kink(approx.) rail, a nice c-box and flat-down box, a 15 ft flat rail, at battleship rail, and a down box with a jib on the side.
 
theres no way thoes jumps are that big i hit the last one yesterday, you think that there that big? maby im better then i think i am
 
Ya I wasn't too sure that last one was that big either but the park manager measured it out, and from the lip to the knuckle is like 65-70ft he said.
 
its a pretty nice jump, got to give'r straight from the 2nd table though to get the right speed, going into it switch is pretty intense
 
ya its pretty intimidating hitting that one switch, you have to land perfectly on the set up. But people were doing switch 9's off of it, that was pretty sweet.
 
im inclind to beleve that if the park guy mesured it it's true it just does not seem like it that big, it throughs you high but..

im heading out on the 9th. will be chillin like a villain though, just fucked up my mcl. will still be skiing, and will head to the park to say word up homie

Ok not much as changed or actually nothing has changed, same jumps, like 25ft, 40ft and 50ft (sorry guys not 70ft), same rails and boxes as previosly mentioned in this thread. Half pipe really sucks and is barely worth going into
 
I heard they were supposed to bring in the cat and rebuild the big park this weekend, but I'm not sure if that went down.

Otherwise nothing's really changed. They did change the lip on the first table though.
 
They are in fact suppose to change up the park, they're changing the set up to the last table into another big table. This week it's supposed to go down.
