Summer Urban: Give me tips

OK, so.. say you go out to do a rail with some hockey rink snow in the summer. WHat is the best way to keep the snow from melting and dispersing? ANything u can lay down on the ground underneath? WHO knows best. Let me know.

go at night, us a pick up truck with a bed cover especially if you go during the day, build a drop in so you dont waste snow to get speed, and fin the closest rink to the rail, salt probably would work so the snow doesnt melt super quick, but ive never tried it

 
we had a rail jam last year in september but it wasnt super warm but we used astroturf under it and then used salt but that was just because it was cold enough that it would melt then freeze even though it was around 15-20 celcius outside

 
well i live in seattle and we dont get snow very often mostly just rain so we always gota get ice rink snow for urban, heres what ive found works: if theres dirt around, you can build up the jump with that, and then put snow on top, thats if you have lmtd amt of snow.....if you dont do that, put it on a cool tarp because the cement will prbly be hot from earlier. and make sure you bring a nice bag of salt thatll make the jump firm so you dont go through it, and itll keep the snow there for longer

yah build a wooden get on rail, drop in. lay a tarp under the snow, drive fast, shovel fast, and grease the rail within 10 try's for a legit set up.

I think I might try one in a couple weeks. I have a big wooden jump covered in astroturf (i usually use it in winter as a base for building a jump cause we dong get much snow) that I will use as a drop in. I will probably use my old "X-Factor" jump as a take off and then throw some snow on and BAMM! Im in business. Hell ya!

yeh salt will make it fast obviously and it will also last longer because it will be icier with less air in it. wooden jump and drop in save tons of snow

Yah dude you live in DC, I was there pretty recently and you have urban jibs galore, its a playground. But its DC, have fun with the super tight ass security, but hell its worth it.

do it at night, it tends to be a bit cooler, the ground especially... salt... thats all really. just bring the rail to the snow, or the snow to a rail and give'r.

or just cover the drop in to the rail with astro turf, so even the snow level gets low, it will stil lslide fine

ya, do it at night and drive fast. make sure that the area isnt being speed trapped. cover the snow with a tarp and put ice over it. use wood for a drp in and jump. you dont need much snow for the landing.
